7:43PM EST: A serious accident on Route 9W in Upstate NY has R”L been confirmed as a fatal MVA, YWN has learned.
The accident occurred a short while ago on Route 9W, in the town of Highland Falls NY, which is located in Orange County.
The crash was reported to be a head-on collision, with one person having been ejected from the vehicle. Other occupants were heavily entrapped in the vehicles, and rescue services needed to extricate them.
Kiryas Yoel Hatzolah was operating on the scene in addition to the local ambulance squad.
Misaskim Volunteers have been dispatched.
UPDATE 11:00PM EST: YWN regrets to inform you of the tragic Petira of Mrs Esther Shaindel Brocha German A”H, the wife of R’ Shlomie German.
The Levaya will take place on Sunday evening at 11:20PM at Camp Shalva on Heiden Road (AKA Thompsonville Road), and on Monday morning in front of Bobov Bais Medrash on 48th Street & 15th Avenue at 9:30AM.

The name of the woman who was niftar r”l is mrs. German the wife of ybdlc”h R’ Shlome YomTov N”Y, the levaya is being held tonight in camp shalva at 11:20, and tomorrow morning in front of Bobov at 9:30 am, may we share only simches!!!
