YWN regrets to inform you of the Prtira of Rebbetzin Gita Cohen A”H, the wife of HaRav Shaya Cohen Shlita, the Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Zichron Aryeh (Priority-1) in Far Rockaway. She was 68.
The Levaya will take place today (Sunday) at 1:00PM at at the Yeshiva located at 1213 Bay 25th Street, Far Rockaway, NY 11691.

In addition to her illustrious husband, I think her father was Rav Leizer Pluchinsky ztl (and uncle was Rav Elyashav ztl) and her grandfather was Rav Aryeh Levine.
She was truly an Isha Chashuva with incredible wisdom and sterling character. She was the granddaughter of the great Tzaddik of Yerushalayim, R’ Aryeh Levine and a cousin of Rebbetzin Batsheva Kanievsky. May she be a malitzas yosher for her mishpocho and all of Klal Yisrael.
