An 8-month-old infant in Ashdod was infected with an aggressive bacterium that took his life. Chaim Dan Sasson z”l was niftar on Sunday 23 Nissan after fighting the bacteria for a number of days.
The child was flown to Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hospital in Yerushalayim where doctors battled to save the child who arrived on Tuesday night Chol Hamoed Pesach with high fever. When parents realized the severity of the boy’s condition they made arrangements to fly him to Jerusalem.
