A body that was found on Shabbos in the Hudson River has been confirmed to be that of R’ Duvid Mordcha Arenowitz Z”L, who went missing two months ago.
Sources tell YWN that dental records were matched at the medical examiner’s office on Sunday morning.
Despite astronomical expenses to locate the body, no expense was spared. The most highly regarded engineering/diving firm in the country, underwater scanners and robots were summoned to plumb the depths of the Hudson River in this effort, at the astounding rate of $10,000 per day.
The family thanks all the Askonim who were involved in this search, including of Yankey Mayer from Misaskim, ערשטע הילף, the Village of New Square, Yossi Morgeretan of Rockland Chaveirim, Moishy Kaff, Heshy Gottdiener, Yankey Breier, Zevi Spitzer, Yaakov Yosef Kaff and many others.
Boruch Hashem the family can now sit Shiva and his body can be brought לקבר ישראל.
There is still much to be covered in the expenses, and if you can help out please visit Gofundme.com/neshama.
