YWN regrets to inform you of the Petira of Rabbi Rabbi Gershon Tannenbaum ZT”L, the Rov of B’nai Israel of Linden Heights in Boro Park and director of the Rabbinical Alliance (Igud HaRabonim) of America.
For the past few years he has been a columnist for the Five Towns Jewish Times. His learned articles filled with his life experience and insights have been printed by the Five Towns Jewish Times for the past three years.
The 5TJT Editor Larry Gordon remarked, “His passing was a shock. He was an incredible individual with warmth. love of life, and true hartz. He had just submitted his article to us on Monday. My friend was to have dinner with him tonight. The article will now be published posthumously.”
“What a loss,” He concluded.
The Levayah will take place at Cong. Bnai Israel of Linden Heights, 4502 9th Ave. Brooklyn, NY, today, Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 12:00PM.
