On Wednesday evening, at about 9:30PM, Hatzolah received multiple reports of a victim struck by a vehicle on Monsey Boulevard in the Town of Ramapo. The victim was found in traumatic arrest, and Hatzolah Paramedics attempted to save the mans life. He was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was R”L Niftar.
The victim, R’ Moshe Yisroel Cohen (76) from Monsey, NY, was apparently crossing the street and was struck by a Honda CRV being operated by a local resident.
Monsey Boulevard was closed in both directions until Thursday morning from Maple Avenue to Sunrise Drive as the Ramapo Police Department Accident Investigation Unit worked on the scene.
The Levaya details were not available.
