Daniel Alan Epstein (Yaakov Chanan Dov Halevy), 49, was niftir on Shabbos 27 Elul at Hospice of Palm Beach County, Florida. He grew up in the small, but frum community of Indianapolis, Indiana. He graduated from Yeshiva University and Baruch College. He lived in Boca Raton, Florida, with his wife, Rhonda, and daughter, Shoshana (age 7 years). He is also survived by his parents, Joe and Esther Epstein, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and his sister, Miriam Leah (Epstein) Preil, of Sharon, Massachusetts. He was buried in Beit Shemesh, Israel, Erev Rosh Hashanah.

Danny is very much missed by all his cousins (Shifra, Judy, Chanan, Rachel, Amy, and myself, among others) and all his friends and acquaintances whose lives he’d touched. He had a profound effect on many people, and quite a few have written to share their stories. He was a truly amazing man. / Baruch dayan emet. /~Adele
Danny was introduced to me over the internet when we were both searching for jobs via Linked In. I told him that I’d been raised Reform but desired to live and grow in an observant community. His kindness in trying to help me find a position in a larger Jewish community was so typical of the Danny I came to know.
When he told me of his cancer and knowing of his wife and young daughter my heart wept for all of you. You have been in my prayers and in my thoughts.
Danny is at peace now, may the G-d of Israel watch over his loved ones and bring you peace. With deepest regrets,
