An 83-year-old Cleveland Heights man was R”L killed by a tractor-trailer near Unger’s Kosher Market in Cleveland Heights, Thursday morning, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office. The coroner’s office identified the man as Yehuda Cohen Z”L, a resident of nearby Bendemeer Road. He was walking home from learning at the Hebrew Academy, where he learned twice a day.
Cleveland Heights police were examining a tractor-trailer in the store’s parking lot. Additional details have not been released by police.
Volunteers from Cleveland Chevra Kadisha were on the scene to ensure proper Kavod Hames.
The Levaya will will be held at 10:45 Thursday tonight at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel in Cleveland Heights, and a Levaya on Friday at Hebrew Memorial Chapel in Oak Park, Michigan. The Kevura will be in Detroit.
