We regret to inform of the Petira of Rav Dovid Felberbaum ZATZAL.

The Levaya was held on Sunday in front of the Kosoner Beis Hamedrash on 14th Ave in Boro Park. Reb Dovid as he was called was 87. He was born in the city of Koson , Slovakia (now Ukraine) to Reb Yitzchok Yaakov Z”L, well known Shochet of Koson. After the holocaust where he lost most of his illustrious family he settled in Williamsburg Brooklyn.

When the village of New Square was founded he was from its first settlers and he was very revered by the previous Skverer Rebbe ZT”L. He was a great Talmid Chochum, well versed in all the Kabbalistic writings and has published several of his writings. The main Sefer that he became popular for was for publishing the writings of his great Rebbe, the last Kosoner Rebbe The Ohr Maleh who perished in the holocaust.

Reb Dovid leaves over 3 sons and 3 daughters many grand and great grandchildren, and recently he had his first great-great grandchild.

He suffered a stroke several years ago and never let go from his daily shiurim. The last few months he was gravely ill and never fully recovered. At the Lavaya all maspidim brought out his greatness. Burial was held in Rishon L’tzion, Israel in a family plot there.
