9:40AM ET: The Crown Heights community has just been struck by tragedy, when a Bochur was struck and killed by a garbage truck.
The incident happened just after 9:00AM, Sunday morning, at Kingston Avenue and Caroll Street, when a garbage truck struck a pedestrian. Crown Heights Hatzolah arrived on the scene and found the victim pinned under the truck. Paramedics attempted to save the young mans life, but were unsuccessful R”L.
The NYPD is on the scene conducting an investigation.

Many garbage truck drivers think they own the streets and can do as they please. I appreciate their service but they take advantage and are also way too aggressive. I hope there are repercussions for this driver to teach a lesson to the rest. This is terrible tragedy BD”E
