HaRav HaTzaddik Rav Avrohom Yosef Weiss ZT”L, an elder in the Vishnitz Chassidus, was niftar on Thursday 9 Teves 5774 in Bnei Brak’s Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital after a difficult illness.

The niftar was a known rebbe for tenokos shel beis raban, one capable of reaching even the most challenged child. The rav was diagnosed a number of years ago with muscular dystrophy and eventually he was totally paralyzed. Hospitals would not admit him for they told the family the condition was hopeless, that is until they turned to Mayanei HaYeshua, where he was placed on life support. The family has nothing but words of praise for the care of the hospital during his difficult times.

During recent years the rav became known as one capable of yeshuos and many sought his bracha. People traveled from around Eretz Yisrael to receive a bracha from him in the hospital.

Last year the Vishnitzer Rebbe Shlita visited with Rav Avrohom on the occasion of the chasenah of his son and he held a special private L’Chaim Tisch with Rav Avrohom.
