IDF soldier, 28-year-old Boris Yarmulnik HY”D, of Netanya, who was critically wounded in a rocket attack in southern Israel on Wednesday 7 Kislev 5773, has R”L died of his massive injuries in Soroka Medical Center in Beersheva today.

Earlier Thursday morning, hospital officials reported there had been no change in his condition, adding that the soldier had sustained a life-threatening brain injury.

Yarmulnik became the 6th Israeli citizen killed in rocket attacks during Operation Pillar of Defense.

On Tuesday, Yosef Fartuch HY”D, 18 from Emanuel was killedin a rocket attack. The same day, a civilian employee of the Defense Ministry was killed as well. The victim, names as Elian Salam Id Alanbary, was a member of Israel’s Bedouin community.

Last week, 49-year-old Ahron Smadga, Yitzchak Amsalam, and 27-year-old Mira Scharf (who was 7 months pregnant), were killed in a direct hit by a rocket on an apartment building in Kiryat Malachi. Scharf’s husband Shmuel was critically injured, as were their 3 children.
