The levaya of IDF soldier Corporal Netanel Yahalomi HY”D, 20, from Nof Ayalon got underway on motzei shabbos at 01:00 in the Modi’in Military Cemetery. Yahalomi was killed in the Egyptian border attack on Friday morning when a terrorist detonated himself aside the IDF force. He was a talmid in the Maalot Yeshivat Hesder.
A second soldier, Corporal Matityahu Zalovsky of Nachalim, also from the Maalot Hesder Yeshiva, was seriously wounded in the operation and he was flown by a chopper to the trauma unit of Beersheva’s Soroka Medical Center, where doctors reported an improvement in his condition on shabbos Baruch Hashem, now listed as moderate/stable.
Three terrorists were killed by the force that prevented a major terror attack in an area community. Israel on shabbos returned the bodies to the slain terrorists to Egypt.

Baruch Dayan Emes.
BD”E. It seems like he was mamish an erliche neshama. His sister mentioned on an interview how he loved learning; he was a hesder boy. On shabbos after the meal instead of sleeping he would always learn. You can see him davening all the time. he was supposed to be home for succos; which he was so excited about. So sad. May he be a meilitz yosher for all of klal yisroel.
the last line is preposterous
Netanel Yahalomi died al Kiddush HaShem. He was killed for being a Yid defending his country and nation. There is a Chazal in a midrash in Koheles quoted by Rabbeinu Yona in Shaarei Tshuva states that one who was performing a mitzva when he died is considered in HaShamaim as one who completed the entire Torah except for that mitzvah he was dealing at his time of petirah, and that with that last mitzva he performed he completed the entire Torah. May Netanel Yahalomi’s name be for a blessing!
