The well-known mohel in the Breslov community in Eretz Yisrael, Rav Yehuda Leib Frankel ZT”L was niftar in Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center on Wednesday, at the age of 71. He suffered from cardiac issues.

The niftar was born to HaGaon Rav Nachum Yitzchok ZT”L, one of the gaonei Yerushalayim. The niftar was recognized for his keen learning abilities as a small child. After his marriage, upon instruction from Rav Amram Blau ZT”L, he began wearing a white kaftan in line with the minhag of Neturei Karta.

During his lifetime he performed thousands of Brissim. He would arrived at a bris full of dveikus and those who knew him add that each bris was like his first, seeking to impart the seriousness in which he performed the mitzvah. He would often travel far and wide to perform the mitzvah and at times, he was compelled to spend shabbos away as a result.

The levaya was held on Thursday, 4 Tishrei at 10:30 from the main Breslov Beis Medrash in Meah Shearim for kvura on Har HaZeisim in the Breslov area.
