YWN regrets to inform you of the Petira of HaRav Elchonon Scheinerman ZATZAL. He was 98.
Rav Scheinerman one of the remaining Talmidim of Hagaon HaRav Yeruchim Levovitz in the Mir – having studied in the Mir for around 6 years.
Rav Scheinerman is survived by his children, HaRav Moshe Scheinerman Shlita, a well-known Rov in Flatbush, R’ Peretz Scheinerman Z”L, Mrs. Shani Strickman, Mrs. Faigy Rosen, and Mrs. Miriam Krohn.
The Levaya will be held on Sunday at 1:00PM at Yeshiva Darchai Torah in Far Rockaway located at 211 B. 17th Street corner of Seagirt Blvd & B. 17th Street.

“For my father, being sent to the Mir was like going straight from elementary school to Harvard. He didn’t have the skills to learn. The roshei yeshivah at the Mir sent him to Rabbi Elchonon Wasserman who had a mechinah in the famous Ohel Torah Yeshiva of Baranovitch, in White Russia.
