Today was the Levaya of Airmont Mayor Dennis Kay A”H, who was found dead at his home on Sunday morning. The funeral was held at New City Jewish Center, and the Kevura was at the Gates of Zion Cemetery in Airmont. Lipa Schmeltzer, who has a Shul in Airmont, and was quite friendly with Mayor Kay, recited the Keil Malei at the Levaya, and was seen helping at the Kevura.
Family members said the two-term village Mayor had been in good health and that his death was unexpected. It appears he died of natural causes.
