YWN regrets to inform you of the Petira of Aliza Schwab A”H, daughter of Moshe and Esther Schwab.

As was reported by YWN in August of 2007, 4-year-old Aliza had drowned in a swimming pool, and was listed in critical condition. As per the Pask of Hagon Rav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita, the name Ruchama had been added to her name.

A month after the drowning, her doctors wanted to detach her from life support. Their reason was that according to Florida law she was considered “dead”. The family vehemently opposed it, and won the battle.

Approximately two months later, she was released from the hospital and sent home where she had been receiving intensive treatment, physical therapy and was fed through a pipe. In July of 2008 a Sefer was donated in her Zechus, and may other Chesed projects and much Tefillos were said on her behalf.

Unfortunately, Aliza recently took a turn for the worse, and was Niftar earlier today.

The Levaya is today, Thursday, at 3:00 PM at Beth David Cemetery, 3701 North 72nd Avenue , Hollywood, Florida.
