Baruch Dayan Emmes: HaGaon HaRav Yishai Sharabi ZT”L, 74, was nifar this morning, 6 Shevat 5772, in Reut Hospital in Tel Aviv. He was the rav of the Yemenite community in Rechovot as well as the head of the Ateret Shalom Beit Medrash in the city. He was the author of the sefer Minchat Yishai on the Chumash.

The rav was hospitalized in Ichilov Hospital for a prolonged period and moved to Reut for rehabilitation just a day before his petira.

The levaya began at 2:00pm at his home at 5 Avraham Samchi Street, passing the rav’s beit medrash and kvura was in the Marmouk neighborhood cemetery in the city.
