YWN regrets to inform you of the tragic Petira of Meilech Weiss Z”L, who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Friday night.
The tragic incident happened at the intersection of Flushing Avenue and Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg when a 1996 Mitsubishi sedan struck him just before 9:00PM.
He was rushed by Williamsburg Hatzolah Paramedics to Bellevue Hospital, where he was R”L pronounced dead.
Misaskim was dealing with the NYPD’s Accident Investigation Team, as well as the NYC Medical Examiners Office to ensure the highest level of Kedushas Haniftar was given.
The 21-year-old driver stayed on the scene, and no criminality is suspected, the NYPD said.
The Levaya details were not confirmed, but sources state it is scheduled for Sunday morning.

I sill so shaken from this tragedy he use to do so many CHASED, etc. borrowing money even though he didn’t have so much money, he use to say to everyone an good word he never wanted to get for himself something new, he use to say rather I should give this money to tziduka
