BDE – Reb Berish Landau, I believe was in his nineties.
Yibadel m’chayim l’chayim, may Rav Shmuel Jacobs, a real tzaddik, have a refuah shleimah! He was in middle of davening with tallis and tefilin and when he saw R’ Landau crossing the street, he ran out to help him as he has been doing every day in the recent past. Rav Jacobs took it upon himself to do this on a daily basis, fearing that such a sakonna like this can happen if R’ Landau would cross the street by himself.
Please continue davening for him. Even more beneficial, learn in his zechus for a refuah shleimah.

There is a stira between the article and comment #4. Was Rabbi Jacobs walking with R’ Dov Landau, or was he davening and came out to help?
