A serious motor vehicle accident occurred on Wednesday, 19 Cheshvan, in the Nes Harim area in the direction of Beit Shemesh. A private vehicle collided with a bus transporting school children, apparently due to the inclement weather conditions.

Emergency medical service personnel were dispatched from Betar Illit, and they reported treating three people. MDA transported the injured to Jerusalem’s Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

One of the victims was Ruth Cohen z”l, 61, the wife of Rabbi Yitzchak Cohen who is affiliated with the Toldos Aaron kehila in Beit Shemesh. The nifteres was on her way home, traveling with her husband from the hospital after outpatient cancer treatment. This morning, Thursday, the bitter news came, that she was simply not strong enough to overcome her injuries.

The levaya began at 2:30pm at Shamgar in Yerushalayim and kvura was in Har Menuchos.
