What are the names to Daven for?
I wish the families of these children much nechama during this very difficult time
Please post levaya information as soon as you have it this would be much appreciated.
Please, dear brothers and sisters! Please let’s prevent the next tragedy by getting the message that Hashem is sending us! Let these recent korbonos not be in vain!! Shimmy Grama from LA, Moshe Gruber from Monsey, 3-year-old Akiva who was niftar by drowning in a bathtub (mi bamayim…), Rebbetzin Kanievsky, Rav Ungarischer, Rav Dov Schwartzman – all of these tragedies in addition to the petiros of gedolim over the past half year and the horrible murders of Leiby Kletzky and Rav Elazar Abuchatzeira at the hand of supposedly frum Jews. How long will we let this list get before waking up? Every single person must take a kabbala now before it’s too late. Make shalom with someone with whom you are in conflict, even if you are sure you are right. Be mevater for the sake of peace. When we are united, Hashem protects us. When we are divided – or as Haman described us to Achashveirosh “mefuzar um’forad” – then we are in great danger. If we make peace between ourselves then Hashem, the “oseh shalom,” will bless us with peace as well. We can’t blame Hashem for these tragedies and say “Ad mosai?” Do you know until when? Until we learn our lesson and band together as one. Even when disagreeing for holy purposes, there mustn’t be a personal agenda, hatred on a personal level, revenge, besmirching for its own sake. There is almost no one today who knows how to have a machlokes lesheim shamayim without transgressing many issurim in the package. Lashon hara releases destructive forces and this is the price that Am Yisrael is paying with these korbanos. Wake up!!
I don’t think it was an Off Shabbos. The whole yeshiva was in New York temporarily because they had no power. Last night they all went back. R”L.

This is beyond anything fathomable! My heart is breaking! I hope the family is consoled among the mourners of Zion.
Ladler – ever hear of negligence, murder, natural causes of old age? Which one of these can you prevent with your formula?
To: Cherrybim – CHaZa”L teach, and we all know, that it is not the nachash that kills, but chait that kills. There ARE tragedies. There ARE events on which we must say Baruch Dayan HaEmes. But there are no accidents. Ha’kol bi’dei Shomayim. All with a cheshbon. That is the ONLY nechamah; that nothing is left to chance. May all the families have a true nechamah and may the survivors remain strong.
@cherybim The Rambam writes that when tragedy strikes if one says its the way things are and natural he is an ‘achzur’ an uncaring and mean person! Obviously there is no such thing as natural. Things don’t just happen.
Let’s not attribute to me that which I did not say and let’s not lump together all tragedies that befall us.
We all feel the pain of every Yid no matter what the circumstance, but no one lives forever and passing away at an advanced age is the way of the world and is not the same as a tradegy due to murder or negligent behavior.
V’nishmartem m’od l’nafshosechem means that we mustbe vigilant and mindful and not leave things up to Hashem which goes k’neged hatevah. No one has the absolute emunah in Hashem required for that kind of protection.
Hashem protects us and saves us thousands of times a day from those who can destroy us, but we must still do our part.
1. There is not one berachah for someone who passes due to old age and another for one who passes due to some tragic happening.
2. The RaMBa”N teaches that “teva” is simply hidden nes. That means that there really is NO “way of the world” as you put it.
3. Nefesh HaChaim writes, as does the Maharal, the Beis HaLevi, the Nesivos Shalom, and others, that “teva” acts/reacts in accordance to our action; tefilos, Torah, and mitzvos. These physical acts unlock spiritual lights and influences which are responsible for the world.
4. “Not leave things up to HaShem” Huh!?
It’s no mitzvah to to talk for talking sake. It’s also no mitzvah to show one’s am’haratzos.
Could they please update the boys’ names for tehillim?
There are still boys in critical condition.
