HaGaon HaRav Yosef Aryeh Halperin zt”l, was niftar in Tel Hashomer Hospital on Monday, 4 Cheshvan, at the age of 58, after a difficult illness.
The niftar was an owner of the Heichal Malchut and Be’er Miriam Halls in Bnei Brak, arranging to give the hall to the needy for free or significantly reduced prices.
He disseminated his Torah around the world, literally, with his well-attended Halacha shiurim for young, old, and seminaries alike.
Until today there is a workbook used by talmidei Torah in Bnei Brak for those wishing to learn practical Halacha, Mishnah Brurah, which were compiled by the rav.
The niftar is survived by seven children, three of whom are unmarried. One son, Rav Naftali is the posek for Ichud Hatzolah.
The levaya was held today, 5 Cheshvan, at 1:00pm from the niftar’s home, 21 HaRav Hirsch Street in Bnei Brak, to the Yarchei Kallah Shul on Rav Dessler Street, to the Ponevezh Beis Chaim.
