HaRav HaGaon Rav Avraham Abba Grossbard zt”l was niftar in Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital in Bnei Brak on Monday, 3 Cheshvan, at the age of 62, following a long painful illness.

The niftar was born in Eretz Yisrael to HaGaon HaRav Tzvi Shraga Grossbard zt”l, a mashgiach in Ponevezh L’Tzei’irim and a former director-general of Chinuch Atzmai.

The niftar was close to Maran HaGaon HaRav Elazar Menachem Mann Shach zt”l and he served as a rebbe in Talmid Torah Ohr Zorayach in Bnei Brak. On Friday nights he would customarily give a shiur for children in the Beis Medrash Divrei Shir in Bnei Brak.

The niftar is survived by ten children, all of whom are married. The levaya was held on Monday night in Bnei Brak and kvura was in the Ponevezh Beis Chaim.
