Baruch Dayan Emmes: Rabbi Shlomo Mann ZATZAL

Rabbi Shlomo Mann was niftar today in Yerushalayim following a severe illness. The niftar was a talmid muvhak of Rabbi Asher Freund ZT”L, who instructed him to continue in his path, meeting with the tzibur towards bringing people back to Yiddishkheit.

The niftar was the son-in-law of Rabbi Levy Rabinowitz, the author of the sefer Ma’adanei HaShulchan and a brother-in-law of HaMekubal Rav Gamliel Rabinowitz. The niftar authored a number of seforim on Parshas HaShavua and inyanei hisorrirus.

The levaya began at the niftar’s home at 17 Najara Street, in Givat Shaul (Yerushalayim) at 5:00pm.

  1. HaRav Mann was such a great tzaddik! His doors were open to all of Klal Yisroel! He gave brochot, advice, and chizuk to so many! I was zoche to have had a connection with him and went to see him. His apartment was always packed with visitors-there was a men’s waiting room and a woman’s waiting room. Every type of Jew from every stream of yiddishkeit would seek him out! Towards the end of his life he was so ill, yet he still saw the Klal. His faithful rebbetzin deserves so much credit for encouraging her husband to see people. Some times she would come into the women to speak or to serve cookies and drinks. Anyone who was zoche to have had a connection to this gadol was so fortunate!
