On Friday, September 3rd, the entire student body at Yeshiva Darchei Torah will have the zchus to hear a special address by the Munkatcher Rebbe shlit”a. The Rebbe shlit”a, who will be in the Five Towns area this coming week, was invited by the hanhalah of the Yeshiva to come and visit the Yeshiva and witness firsthand the tremendous success and growth of our local Torah institutions.

The kabolas ponim is slated to take place at 8:30 a.m. immediately following shachris. The talmidim of the mesivta and beis medrash as well as the student body of the elementary school will have the unique opportunity to hear special divrei torah and hisorerrus mere days before the start of the yomim noraim 5771. Each talmid will have a chance to personally greet the Rebbe shlit”a and receive a bracha for a sweet new year. How befitting it is for the talmidim to be able to bask in the presence of a tzaddik and be inspired in this most solemn time of year as we prepare ourselves for Rosh Hashanah.

Final preperations are underway on the part of the Yeshiva to ensure that the Rebbe’s visit to Darchei will be one that will be a most memorable one for the staff and students alike.

The Rebbe is also slated to attend a Breakfast reception to benefit the Munkatcher Yeshiva and Kollel Chaim V’Shalom on Sunday, September 5th, the first day of slichos, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Yussie Ostreicher at 184 Wildacre Avenue in Lawrence at 9:45 a.m. The breakfast, which has become a yearly event is eagerly anticipated by members of the community who wait for this special opportunity to meet and greet the Rebbe shlit”a.
