Shavuos is the yahrzeit of the Sfas Emes of Gur ZT”L, and thousands are expected to visit his kever in Yeshivas Sfas Emes in Yerushalayim, near Machane Yehuda.

The Rebbe arrived in Eretz Yisrael during WWII, settling in Yerushalayim and beginning to spread his Torah. The Rebbe was niftar on Shavuos in 1948 and because of the ongoing war and dangers resulting, the Rebbe was interred in the yeshiva, which is located a block from the shuk.

Also buried at the location is the P’nei Menachem of Gur, and the location is one visited by many during the year, who are mispallel at the kevarim of these tzaddikim.
