(Click HERE for photos) On Sunday afternoon a Sefer Torah was donated to Khal Tiferes Yisroel (Rabbi Goldberger’s Shul) in the Upper Park Heights neighborhood of Baltimore amidst much pomp and celebration.

The procession started by the house of the donor and made its way to join the other sifrei torah in the shul some three blocks away. The sefer was donated by the Leventhal family leilui nishmas Dr. Leventhal’s father, Harry B. Leventhal and in honor of his mother (who is still alive Sylvia Leventhal-Weinberg). It is worthy of mention that Dt. Leventhal’s son will be having his bar mitzvah in the shul this coming shabbos and will be the first to lein from it.
