Last week, before the Toldos Aaron Rebbe Shlita left for North America, he spoke with chassidim explaining that for him, this is a trip to ‘golus’, but he excepts Hashem’s decree with love, realizing this is what must be.
The rebbe explained that the financial situation of mosdos is critical, calling upon chassidim to daven for his success during his fundraising mission abroad, where he will be spending Shabbos in different communities and attending many functions in the hope of raising badly-needed funds.

Why is it so bad for the Rebbe to “travel to galus” if thats where the money is. Obviously, his mosdos need the funds and he has probably exhausted the options for fundraising in EY. However, given the difficult financial situation of yiddeshe mosdos in the U.S., this is really robbing Peter to pay Paul. I suspect any dollar he takes back to EY will be one less dollar donated to yeshivos and kollels here in America.
the answer is simple… a large portion of their community is not educated and not working… integrate into society, work, learn and their chasidim will have an income and their situation will get better…..
their is nothing wrong with living a balanced life style of torah and work…
Wow, didnt know that the Rebbe felt that each time he leaves Israel he is going into GOLUS.
But isn’t he living in golus regardless????? Why does he believe he has supporters here that are willing to fork over hard earned money to support the families in his shtetl who refuse to go to work?
While many people are hoping for an economic miracle (indeed President Obama’s reelection strategy requires a miracle), only a optimistic would consider the economic crisis that begain four years ago a mere “recession” and virtually all non-profit institutions are beginning to feel serious pain. As frum institutions generally lack endowments, it means they will have to scramble to maintain their services. Given that we have almost no control over the global economy, about all we can do is encourage frugality (and in truth, most Torah institutions are quite frugal already), about all we can do is daven.
Surprised to see such nastiness here.
1)so noone from EY should come to the USA to collect because it is robbing American Mosdos? Is that a blanket rule now?
2)I don’t suppose it is possible to respect someone who sees things differently to you.I assume you will not have a chelek in the zchus of supporting any mosdos HaTorah.
3)your sarcasm is also out of context and is full of lack of respect
Hello raboisay- LOSHON HARA watch your self
Anyone who has had any connection to the chassidus of Toldos Aaron, will know that many of the chasidim DO work, and work very hard. They support themselves and pay taxes but do not take government money. The Rebbe is collecting for his moisdos, Talmudei Torah, Yeshivos ketanos and gedolos, kollelim etc etc. These people are the purest souls and are fully deserving of our support.
additionally, I remember hearing a psak that Aniyei EY are in the same bracket as aniyei ircho.
