A large crowd gathered in the Ramot neighborhood of Yerushalayim for the Levayah of the Ungvar Rebbe, HaRav Menashe Klein ZT”L on Erev Rosh Hashanah. The Gerrer Rebbe and the Stropkover were among the admorim and rabbonim who attended the levayah.

As YWN had reported earlier in the week, the Rebbe ZATZAL underwent a cardiac catheterization procedure, and had remained in serious condition. His condition continued to deteriorate, until his petira on Tuesday night.

Rav Klein has a Bais Medrash on 16th Avenue in Boro Park, and Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Ungvar in Ramat, Yerushalayim. He is also the author of the Shalios Utshuvos Mishnah Halachos, and was one of today’s senior Poskim for the Chassidish communities around the world.

Approximately ten years ago, the Rov began splitting his time between the USA and Eretz Yisrael, and two years ago officially moved to Eretz Yisroel.
