Israel: Grandmother Killed in Struck Pedestrian Incident

A woman about 60-years-old was killed while crossing a street with her grandson in a baby carriage at the intersection of Lillianbaum and Binyamin Streets in Netanya late Monday morning, 24 Cheshvan 5774. A vehicle traveling in an area prohibited to vehicles struck the woman. She was pronounced dead on the scene while rescue workers had to extricate the carriage from under the vehicle. The child, who is about 1-years-old, is reported in serious condition.

At least two other pedestrians were injured lightly and treated by Ichud Hatzalah and MDA responders.
