Rav Naim Ovadia, the brother of Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef Shlita, was niftar on the first day of Sukkos at the age of 92. He was niftar in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. Shiva for the family will begin after yomtov.

Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef Shlita and Rav Naim were both hospitalized on Rosh Hashanah in Hadassah and they davened together in the posek’s hador’s private minyan. The family reports that R’ Naim was able to daven all the tefilos of Yom Kippur as well. The two were extremely close throughout R’ Naim’s lifetime.

The levaya took place on motzei first day Sukkos at 23:30 from the Sephardi Beis Halevayos in Givat Shaul. Kvura was in Har Menuchos.
