YWN has confirmed that Reich Jewelers located at the Grebow Shopping Center – just outside of Lakewood was robbed at gunpoint a short while ago. The source tells YWN that the burglar entered the store located at 6796 Route 9 in Howell at approximately 12:00PM this afternoon – while the safe was opened – and made off with more than $700,000 worth of Jewelry. Police converged on the scene and a license plate number of the vehicle which was written down was given to police.
Unfortunately, the plate numbers did not help police much – as the car was a stolen vehicle. Detectives are continuing the investigation, but most importantly Boruch Hashem no one injured in the incident.

Oy! Avromi Reich is such a nice guy. I hope he had insurance, and Ihope they catch and lock up this perp.

someone stole my brothers car in the middle of the night the car was parked in boro park and droven by the theif to howel and my brother is talking to the police right now in the 66 preceint!!! my brother is the nicest person around always helping every body and lending his car to people who need a ride, and does not know where his stolen car is at the present momment!!! i pray that the theif is cought as soon as posible!!!
i hope for avrumy’s sake they stole junk- and that he was insured

Reich jewelers does not carry junk. Besides, if it was $700,000 worth, stolen-the police may as well look for a train he took off with..
there was a couple shopping for jewlery & the gunman made the husdband go behind counter& fill up bag with jewlery.they were able to get license plate but it ended up being from astolen car in boro park…
is it possible to go through the video from the toll booth at the bridge? If the stolen car has EZ-Pass they can see exactly what time it crossed and check the video to see the guys face….
If not from the bridge im sure the toll booth at the GSP- they have a strong light that shines in your face while you go through.
the plate number of my brothers stolen car was edm5246 the car was a acura tsx and it was a year 2004 car. the car also happened to be the coller blue and it was stolen from new utrecht and 42st and as of late last night my brother moshe still had his car!!!
by the way my brothers car did not have any ez-pass unless the theif had his own ez-pass thanks and we all pray they catch this perp!!!
in case comment #4 is not so clear let me make myself clear that the stolen car of my brother was used by this theif to make this armed robbery and use my brothers car as a get away car to get away from the scence and to this minute my brother still has no idear who stole the car from him or where it might me!!!
Its a shame they did not speed even one mile over the limit in Howell. Otherwise the Howell police would have certainly picked them up…
Alot of black guys doing deliveries etc… and stuff back and forth from brooklyn to lakewood, in that plaza alone there is a bakery and some other clothing stores and linen stores that get deliverys from brooklyn almost daily.
I wouldnt be surprised if some black guy, (they say It was a black guy) took the oppurtunity to try and frame a good jewish boy with his car, figuring that all the blame would be put on him. AS told he wore a white skeleton mask to maybe try and look like a white boy, but sorry his voice gave it away.

i happen to know the couple who was in the store. they made a seudas hodah last night! we still have to have hakaras hatov boruch hashem no one was hurt during the robbery.(the guy did have a gun.!!)
