(Updates Below) [Click HERE for photos] 2:50PM EST: A massive explosion has just ripped through a gas production plant in the Atarot industrial zone in Yerushalayim. Hatzolah Israel tells YWN, that as of this time, according to the Magen David Adom Dispatch Center, at least two people are injured – one in critical condition, and another one in moderate condition.
YWN spoke with Hatzolah Israel who is staging on the scene, and described the current blaze to be “as large as a football field”. Rescue personnel are rushing to the scene and evacuations are underway near the plant.
Additionally, there may still be people trapped inside the facility.
UPDATE 3:30PM EST: Close to 100 firefighters are currently battling the blaze. Additionally there is a sever water shortage at this point. The fire department has dispatched large tankers to bring water to the scene. (Each tanker holds approximately 13,000 gallons of water.) There is still no word on any additional injured people.
UPDATE 9:00AM EST: The has still not been put out, more than 12 hours after the explosion which started it. The fire fighters prefer to let the fire continue in a controlled fashion, in order to prevent a gas leak that could lead to another blast.

I have family there now and they called me to check yeshivaworld.com cuz they saw at least 40 police and hatzala on call. They thought there was a suicide bombing chas vishalom. At the end they spoke to a hatzala member that was on the scene and he said it’s an arab factory and all arabs there.
Would that be a soccer stadium or an american football feild.

The optimum size is 75 yards[68.58m] by 120 yards [109.73m]. Facilities constructed after September 1995 must be a minimum of 70 yards [64.01m]in width by 115 yards [105.15m] in length.
American Football field requirements: 100 yards long plus two 10-yard end zones (Bringing the total length to 120 yards [109.7m]). The field is 160 feet [91.4m] wide. Bounded by sidelines and endlines.

Let me get this straight. After 15 years that Arabs are using gas balloons (cylinders) in car and truck bombs, there is an Arab plant producing gas ballons in Israel??? Why doesn’t the defense department just hand over weapons productions if they’re in such a hurry to commit suicide. BTW my friend Eli just told me a joke today. He was in Pakistan for what was supposed to be a very big business deal and it fell through. He was feeling very, very depressed. He had so much invested and he lost it all when the deal was cancelled. He even considered suicide. So he looked up the suicide hotline and called. He said I’m very depressed, I’m considering suicide. A voice on the other end says “dat is bery good, do you know how to drive a truck…? “
