I heard in the name of a Godol, some time ago, in the time of strong winds apples do fall far from the tree. Nowdays we cannot be judgmental (no spell checker here) of parents who c”v go through this terrible ordeal. I don’t even know what to say (or write), so I won’t even try. However, let me just express my deep feelings of sorrow and pain. Every Neshama is special and unique. ???? ???? ??????? ????? ??? ????, millions of stars, yet every one with a special name. We daven for a quick return and healing. I’ll try to have her in mind today if I make it to the ????.

Hashem made a beautiful world and made changing seasons to make things exciting! Think how monotonous (no spell check here) things would be if we’d have only one climate. Besides, it’s very benificial (no s.c.) to clear germs, the air, the moods ..

Am I missing something? I left America (or “The States” as they say here) for a bit and there’s so much going on. Could someone care to enlighten me as to what is this BJJ.. idea? What else is new? Anything new I have to be aware of upon return?

Hello. Welcome to our community. You’ll find some of the nicest, funniest etc. personalities here. I mean it! They were and are a tremendous support for me. I too feel for you. Went through it, mildly B”H. Sending you brochos here from the Holy Land for a complete yeshua.

A good Shabbos to all (I’m not conversing so it’s to both sides of the Mechitza). Hope you have an uplifting Shabbos. Have you all in mind. Take care of America till I get back.

    Me again.

Just wanted to let everyone know, I had everyone here in mind. I do not know anyone’s issues, problems or trials but HaShem does. He knows who you are, where you are, and what is best for you. I put in a good word for all of you (us – we’re all in this together), whether you like it or not.

Correct, it is not a minhag to stand for a choson and kallah – it is a Halacha. One must stand for someone doing a mitzva. When people brought bikurim to Yerushalaim, they stood up for them.

While we’re at it, let me state one thing. I’ve been around to peoples homes and, being a techie of some sort, was instantly able to discern an unfiltered computer. We’re mispalel ‘lo ledai nisayon’ we gota do something about it too. (When davening for parnasa, do you just leave it at that?) For HaShem’s sake (actually our own sake ?? ???? ?? ???? ??) get a filter.

Sh.. Don’t tell Mommy. She doesn’t know that I have one, and I’m online!

Seriously, No. My children are not permitted on my computer or on-line. They don’t even feel deprived. They’re avid readers though. I find that even Kosher educational material / games, dull the childs brain.

Before this thread too becomes another girl/boy – man/woman issue, let me offer one thought.

HaShem in his great wisdom created BOTH versions of humanity. Each one with its own characteristics to succeed in productive life. We NEED both models – just the way they are. A man with masculine attributes, and a woman with feminine ones. No need to mix and match. Certainly no need to bicker and bash. To denigrate one variant over the other shows lack of appreciation of the Ribono Shel Olam. As if something ?? ????? is lacking in His creation.

Just another of my two pennies.
