ZeesKiteParticipantMaybe this belongs here, maybe in the other one.
I read once about a principal (forgot who), whose secretary would every day bring to him something to eat for breakfast. One morning he pushed it aside. He told the startled secretary the following: There’s a din about the sanhedrin when contemplating a case regarding capital punishment, they push it off untill the next day, reviewing and reexamining the whole night. The next day they do not eat until they render judgment. Said he, to his secretary, today he’d be expelling a boy from his Yeshiva, he realizes this is a capital punishment (???? ?????) issue, therefore he is not permitted to eat! When one goes forth with such an attitude, things are seen and measured entirely different!
ZeesKiteParticipantyeshivabochur123:
Let me attempt to answer your very valid question. I think it’s the same ‘heter’ as the boy, who learns ‘lishmah’ (mapik hey – for HER sake), even though chances are it could be gorem…
ZeesKiteParticipantI think they’re spying on us.
ZeesKiteParticipantWe have our investigative crew scanning the country for a Starbucks next to a body of water.. Hold on, we’ll zero in. Take your coffee in the mean time.
ZeesKiteParticipantGetting people to think I’m intelligent! Or humorous. Or warm. (if they’d only know…)
ZeesKiteParticipantaries2756:
Kindly permit me to join the fray. In most other issues I don’t come close to your ankles. That’s why I’d NEVER differ from your priceless pieces. Actually masterpieces. Really. However when it comes to Torah issues, I must stand up for k’vod Shamaim. Remaining silent is tantamount to an admission. We are dealing here with one of the principles of the Torah. The issues of Am HaNivchar, and the attacks of the Umos Haolam to dismiss these basics.
The Torah says clearly and unequivocally ???? ??? ??’ ???????, clearly and exclusively US! Another pasuk in Vayikra: ?????? ???? ?? ????? ????? ??. Another: ??? ????? ?????. Torah Nevieim and Ksuvim are FULL with such pesukim. Again – we share the same planet, breathe the same air, yet dynamically separate. ??? ????? ?????. We get along because that’s the setup HaShem prepared for us, but that’s where it ends.
Read from Rabbi Miller’s sefer Awake My Glory – where he deals with this issue at length.
ZeesKiteParticipantOr they need to fill their quota. Or they want to see how it looks [closed]!!!
ZeesKiteParticipantMe? Most definitely! How could I post something obnoxious?
ZeesKiteParticipantHey! How did YOU dig this one out???
ZeesKiteParticipantNO! Mine got closed too. Actually I closed it from the beginning!
ZeesKiteParticipantAlso MOD if you’re going OVER the quota of closing threads, (see ‘Moderation’), you could always [open] my [closed][closed] one.
ZeesKiteParticipantThanks to you, am yisrael chai & Shticky Guy. I really didn’t think they were something to take note of, or appreciated.
ZeesKiteParticipantam yisrael chai: You are right.
ZeesKiteParticipantOK. There’s one thing improper I do thats public knowledge. Quite often. A LOT. WAY TOO MUCH.
Lounging out in the CR!
Did I overcome that? Well, you decide!
ZeesKiteParticipantGumBall: Oh. So may I make the assumption that you’re neither male nor female?
ZeesKiteParticipantI don’t think it’s a good idea to publicize one’s (own) wrongdoings. It’s a bit of chilul HaShem to do so.
However, since we’re all anonymous here, (no modesty issue) let’s publicize GOOD things we’ve done!
ZeesKiteParticipantOK. Me too.
ZeesKiteParticipant(it’s going under..)
ZeesKiteParticipantOf course they can. They can even open a [closed][closed] one. (even a [closed][opened][closed]…)
ZeesKiteParticipant!
ZeesKiteParticipantIs there a ‘Google translate’ for this..
ZeesKiteParticipantI feel for him. Literally! I think ‘ZeesKite’ is affecting my teeth.
ZeesKiteParticipantbinahyeseira: I never intended it to be different.
adorable: That’s the whole point. NOT TO ARGUE. A place to argue about not arguing.
It’s my theory that arguments started out by programmers. They write functions with (argument1, argument2, argument3..) TERRIBLE. We gotta put a stop to that. How about (agreement1, agreement2, agreement3..)
ZeesKiteParticipantadorable: If you’re truly ‘sorry’, why all the bitterness? Sefira is a time to reflect and make amends to any bein adam lchaviero issues. I’m giving up my music for it. If you have any issues you can’t go alone, well, that’s Moderators are for. To moderate, like Ahron Hakohen.
ZeesKiteParticipantSpoiler86:
I beg to differ with you on one point. I think having a separated crowd increases the simcha. I, for one, tend to let loose when not in the presence of the opposite gender. It it really something to watch. I’m sure there are others like me, who close up when observed by members of the opposite gender.
ZeesKiteParticipantSorry. Should have been headed
For Men and Women, Boys and Girls, only.
ZeesKiteParticipantAnyone else here who is also ONLY either male or female.
ZeesKiteParticipantThe Mods do it sometimes in order to stick in a last line.
They did it to a few, however they REFUSE to [open] my [closed][closed] one!
ZeesKiteParticipantadorable: Chava who? Who are you addressing?
ZeesKiteParticipantI find it a BIG ma’alo of posting (here in CR) rather then talking – I can think out & consider each and every word carefully. A lot of times I would write out a long ‘megilla’ ready to post, and decide to delete it at the last minute after careful deliberation. Whereas the mouth is a rapid-fire apparatus, the pen (or keyboard) is a s-l-o-w moving vehicle. Editable & deletable too. I consider this a big benefit of CR-ing, learning to talk with more ‘edelkeit’.
My thanks go to all who inspired me..
ZeesKiteParticipantNot trolling this time = Nisht in Shabbos Geredt..
ZeesKiteParticipantI once wrote something along these lines Parshas Para:
http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/parshas-parah-%D7%AA%D7%A9%D7%95%D7%91%D7%94
ZeesKiteParticipantwanderingchana: There’s a reason I don’t have calculators!!!
ZeesKiteParticipantI can’t argue with you on that (on this thread..)
ZeesKiteParticipantIf I was wondering, I’d do it only once.
ZeesKiteParticipantEnglishman: There’s Stolin & Satmar in England?
ZeesKiteParticipantam i supposed to be depressed now?
I am not a bird. I cannot fly. Am I depressed. That is not my tafkid so I’ll do what I’m created to do. ????? ?????? – I was created in a fashion that HaShem deemed perfect to suit my job. No additional accessories needed. Nor wanted!
ZeesKiteParticipantMod 42:
There’s a slight difference between a the funniest poster and the best poster.
Btw I see you opened and closed a few threads (just to stick in something) how about [opening] the [closed][closed] one?
ZeesKiteParticipant(Ich volt nish azoi geredt far di ershta Mama)
ZeesKiteParticipantWatch out, dear members – there’s another BIG ONE in the making!!
Steer clear!
ZeesKiteParticipantaries2756: I, for one, REALLY like your response! Such a grateful, pleasant, peaceful attitude. If only it would be ingrained in today’s society…
ZeesKiteParticipantNumber of bottles of beer on the wall after 20..
ZeesKiteParticipantwalton157: Please let’s keep our hands off our ‘Malachim’. We’re talking here about one who is represented on the ???? ?????. Believe me, I know nothing about what I just wrote, other than to keep my distance from thinking (c”v judging) about our holiest. Tanach was written for us to take lessons, not to associate our personalities with the greatest. We (all of us) have NO IDEA what transpired, the nisyonos…
ZeesKiteParticipantWatching the wild ‘Are Women Really Jewish?’ thread!!!
ZeesKiteParticipantoomis1105:
Again, we’ve had this discussion before, and before. Over and over again. Women are NOT HOLIER than men. And NO. Men are not ‘THANKING’ HaShem for letting them off the hook. That’s not what the brocho is all about. A little respect for Chazal who instituted Brochos.
ZeesKiteParticipantursula momish
Those mitzvohs you mentioned are not ‘ladies mitzvohs’. Actually I think thm is MORE for Men. Men are obligated in Challah and Neros Shabbos too. It’s just that the women are more into theses three than men. More into bringing children into this world and insuring a proper chinuch, too. More into Mitzvos of chesed with family and friends all day long too.
ZeesKiteParticipantNow for real. Women have Kabolas Ol Mitzvohs just as men. Only a few less. Make a cheshbon, how many are we dealing with?
ZeesKiteParticipantbinahyeseira: You weren’t supposed to notice. (Uh oh, please comment, otherwise I’d have the last word!)
ZeesKiteParticipantI my opinion, Jewish women are Jewish (not ALL women)
