I took those words from a spelling test of my older sister, did some suffixing, and repeated them over and over. That’s all.

..that the Great Avigdor Miller, Z’L among other of our esteemed rabbinical leaders

-Sorry for writing so strong (I’m a ZeesKite, on the fly), it seems that ridiculing OUR Torah leaders are one of your strong points. To me – YOU’VE BLOWN YOUR COVER.

I cannot be silent over a disgrace to the Torah or its Sages and Leaders. I think if one posts on a Torah-oriented site, it should conform to the minimal of Torah and Hashkafa standards.

    1) the point is that it is not going to ruin your jewish neshama to visit a bookstore

-Guess what? Those in the know, know that it will. The smallest glance. The more, the worse it gets. Till one doesn’t feel the neshama anymore. Then they think they know what Jewishness is all about.

    2) But I disagree that our lives must be lived in an insular way

-Guess what? Rambam disagrees. He says to distance oneself from all evil surroundings and influences. (don’t have the source at hand now, I’m not that scholarly)

    3) I personally disagree that Torah was meant to be sequestered in a community that does not see the remainder of the living.

-Guess what? Hashem (G-d) saw differently. He had us Jews in the desert away from civilization from our start-up. ?? ?? ???? ?????, we are separate and meant to be separate.

    4) more PREPARED to enter a world where there is evil …

-Guess what? The way to avoiding the evil inclination is by avoiding the evil inclination.

Could us people kindly remind ourselves of who we’re talking about. Those same girls (still available) danced once more. When?! Right. On the holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur. OBVIOUSLY both bochurim and girls had something else in mind. Could we compare s=ourselves to that generation. The Kedusha and Tahara! Rabbi Miller says (somewhere), boys went to pick a girl then, like one inspects and buys an esrog nowadays. Their lives were filled with holiness, he married to fulfill Ratzon HaShem, he sought the most perfect one for that tafkid. If we’d have that mindset, we’d be in great shape.

If you need me to add I think you’re a multi-talented person, with a lot of depth. I haven’t read too much you your posts yet, but you appear to me as a bright, intelligent, emotional personality.

I general I see goodness in all CR-ites. I have a hard time remembering screen names and their personalities, but some stick out:

Aries – her priceless pieces full of advice, vast knowledge, human nature etc.

Oomis – her womanly look at issues

Popa – vast Torah knowledge, excellent humor

HaleiVi – Easy going nature, encyclopedic knowledge in ANY issue.

Eclipse – Human touch, (wasn’t easy to miss her threads)

    Health:

It was, in fact, her tznius. Medrash says that is what he noticed in her, that SOLE FACT. How she modestly squatted to pick the low-lying ones, instead of bending down. (refer to the crises in cars for more on this)

As far as the other acts she did, they were directly guided by Torah counsel – no personal gratifications of any sort. Chalila to attribute that to lack of modesty!

To MOD – the one who MODed above:

I’m a bit surprised. I thought this was a Torah oriented site, Torah ideas, ideals, thoughts, midos tovos, mitzvohs, emotions etc. (of course humor too).

I didn’t think this OP deserved that. His question is a valid one, especially for a site such as this. My very humble opinion.
