42, I think they’ve disclosed the location, in another thread.

Anyway, I’d love to come, to see and not be seen.

Before the onset of this important day, sad as it may now appear, I’d like to take this opportunity to ask EVERY poster mechila for anything I’ve done to cause hurt, pain, anguish, mental distress and the like. Words sometimes come out in the wrong way, gushing like a stream (sewer!), and at times they can cause hurt. Again, all – please be Mochel. Thanks.

Hang on there. I heard they’re coming out with a new anti-virus.

Did you hear if it’s contagious to family members / siblings / chavrusos? Would this ???? ??? ???? ?????? affect the hormone system too?

Not at all. I know Zees from reading posts. I gather that Zees has a quiet personality. So too, I’m keeping a bit quiet.

(remember the thread ‘Don’t look here’ and ‘I have nothing to post’ among others?)

Some people (like myself) are ‘klein kepig’ a minor inconvenience appears as huge and insurmountable. I really stand awed at your challenges. I’m not the one to offer you any encouragement. I’ll just say you inspired me. A lot.

    Thank for your Brocha. Amain.

When I was in that situation, I knew it wasn’t in the right perspective, I wasn’t able to even think properly. I knew then as now that it was minor. I just couldn’t get myself out of that ‘matzav’. It was going round and round in my head. I guess I’m more prone to depression (or mild ones).

Why’d you want to open up people’s wounds again. HaShem gave this WONDERFUL medicine called ‘forgetfulness’ mainly for this purpose, to heal peoples’ hearts and mind, why undo it?

OK, For your sake, I’ll agonize once more.

It was the night I got a moving violation, two years ago. I was pulled over for a non-working rear-light, and 2 children were found not secured. I was in such a low for THREE DAYS afterwards. I couldn’t get my head out of it. I had a huge headache. I was SO DEPRESSED! Baruch HaShem for the greatest gift of forgetfulness, where bad, unpleasant memories recede into the subconscious.

    Hi,

Welcome to the the club! Both, the CR and your problem.

    Let me try to start.

Sometimes our avodah, our job at hand, is to do without a feedback, without feeling a ‘geshmack’. We have to do because we’re avdei HaShem and we do as we’re commanded. At other times, HaShem puts us into a mood where we can feel a ‘geshmack’ and zest in doing His ratzon. I think Seforim say – one time with pain (hardship) is worth 100 times without. So it may be worth it. Think about it. That itself should put you into a better frame of mind. You’re gathering diamonds by the handful!

I also do averos (OK, lots of them, lo alenu). However, I don’t publicize them. To do that would be a chilul HaShem. It lessens the severity of that sin in the minds of the listeners.

I thank you for taking my call right before leaving.

-What misguided people add to the Torah is a burden-

Would that by any chance be netilas yadayim, muktza, chanuka, hallel etc. which have no refrence in the Torah??

??? ?? ??? ????, one can discern a person from what he speaks (writes). One person makes it his business to serve HaShem, he busies himself with Torah & mitzvhos. In order to live he busies himself too with a livelihood. An oved HaShem.

Then there’s another sort of person. Why do we need this chumra. Be normal. Where is it written explicitly in the Torah? That’s his motto. His life’s goal – less chumros. ??? ????? ?????.

What if HaShem responds in kind? Hey mister. Did your ancestors enjoy such luxury? Indoor plumbing? Lighting? Transportation? Let’s see if you can survive on the barest.

“Too many chumros. Be normal. Be happy. Use your sechel. Don’t be crazy…”

To me – that sounds EXACTLY like the second one from the seder. “What is this whole burden/problem/inconvenience to you.

There are sites that I need, and cannot access. Sometimes Jnet can open a specific site, sometimes they cannot. Price is also an issue. Another big disadvantage is that they only offer filtered dsl (through Verizon), we’d love to have cable, but can’t because there’s no filtered line.

I believe this topic was once discussed.

We have the Jnet. The advantage of it is that it filters the line. No programs are necessary to install. Further, all computers connecting on the line will also be filtered. Fee – $34.95 / mo. There are disadvantages also.
