GrandMeister: It would help if you put a link together with the other ones.
ZeesKiteParticipantShticky: I just got to read your comment now. (see, I’m slow). Thanks. Anyway, I think that was my first one.
ZeesKiteParticipantBig problem. People don’t take my humor seriously.
ZeesKiteParticipant<<We Fix Broken Addictions>>
Come in at the first sign of addiction being broken, compromised, tampered etc. Will help you get back…
January 12, 2012 6:07 pm at 6:07 pm in reply to: Why Mods Take Vacation When They See My Name? #842883ZeesKiteParticipantJust what my principal said. Hey, are you..
ZeesKiteParticipantThey call us racist for writing in Chinese.
ZeesKiteParticipantThe question is not why, the question is WHAT.
ZeesKiteParticipantWhere it is? I called up, it’s on back-order.
ZeesKiteParticipant(Could anyone read this?)
January 12, 2012 8:07 am at 8:07 am in reply to: Girls High School Curriculum: Maybe all the schools need to do this #870058ZeesKiteParticipantAries, I respectfully disagree with you regarding the need to learn and drill such needless information. It does have use. What if she grows up to be a teacher, to teach those purposeless topics! That’s exactly what the original teacher, who taught the teacher who taught the teacher who taught… had in mind! – A JOB!
January 12, 2012 6:03 am at 6:03 am in reply to: Frustrated Mothers of Girls: Can we hear your ideas #845454ZeesKiteParticipantOOMIS!!! They actually did that, some time ago. 2,000 years ago to be exact. There’s a gemarah somewhere that says in the time of R. Yochanan, Kedusha was so great, boy and girls would play together and not sin. So I guess if you consider us just as holy, it would be no problem. We’re holier than Rishonim, Achronim, Rambam, Gra, Chasam Sofer etc.
However I have a gut feeling that we ought to follow the plan and bidding of the Master Planner, ?? ????? ????? ???? – ????? ?????. I think one of the early poskim explicitly write ???? ???? ???? ??????. HaShem know the psyche of BOTH versions of humans, He knows best how to keep them healthy (and holy). Apart.
ZeesKiteParticipantSam2: If I may, I think it’s a pasok in the Torah ??? ??? ?? ???? ?? ?’ ?????. Even if one doesn’t look up in seforim (no nekudos there, can’t read), one must follow Ratzon HaShem. For whatever reason, He wants us to do His bidding with joy and zest. That’s doing the ENTIRE mitzvah.
January 12, 2012 5:32 am at 5:32 am in reply to: Can you explain to me how YOU read a thread, in general, please? #843748ZeesKiteParticipantI took care of your problem.
ZeesKiteParticipantHello to you Moishy. I’d spend more time here, it’s just that lately I’m so out (like in ‘moody’, ‘down’ etc.) and my posting follows my mood. But you please come back on, and.. liven up this place!
ZeesKiteParticipantMe too! I’m a bit (ok, a lot) down lately. Besides this place of late has become so sad and depressing. I would GREATLY appreciate someone who could lighten up here. I haven’t been posting, if anyone noticed, sooo much not in the mood. OK, that’s the word – “moody”.
ZeesKiteParticipantMe? I’m totally against the bashing business, one way or the other. It seems that some just have a bad middah (anger, hate etc.), so they find excuse how to vent, and on whom. The barometer, in my humblekite, should be how they are ‘mekaneh’ and what triggers their ‘kanaus’. Is it like Pinchus (the Kanaai), motivated BY A LOVE FOR K’LAL YISROEL (as seforim point out), a burning zealousness to defend HaShem’s honor, or an inner unrefined, undomesticated anger?
Someone told me, he heard a child list numerous ‘reshaim’ whom we must hate, different views we must appose etc. – at age three! Said he – “See, this child learned sinas yisroel before learning alef bais”.
Is hating Zionists going to produce anything positive? On the other hand, same here with the Neturei Karta.
In my humblekite I believe an open dialouge (cool-headedness) is the ONLY way to get through.
ZeesKiteParticipant(Are they talking here about me?)
ZeesKiteParticipantOOMIS – “..or death (preferably HIS)..”
WOW, you pikin’ sides? (Someone’s bothering you?)
ZeesKiteParticipantWoman divorced through a Heter Meah Rabbonim?? Wuzzat?
January 3, 2012 4:45 pm at 4:45 pm in reply to: Why did Shnooky wait 25 years to get Bar Mitzvah? #841129ZeesKiteParticipantHe did send you one. I put on the 4 cent stamp for him and mailed it yesterday. Must have gotten lost in time.
January 3, 2012 6:25 am at 6:25 am in reply to: "Where Are the Men"-Article in last week's Mishpacha #844423ZeesKiteParticipantcinderella: It depends on his relationship with his children. Generally in a warm, close household a father bears a more authoritative role, and balanced with a genuine warm approach, can prevail more. Again, part of the mitzvah of Tochacha is the way it’s given.
ZeesKiteParticipantHi. Just got back. Nobody seconds me on this theory?
ZeesKiteParticipant“.. We all have to answer to the law of the land.”
Let me try to fix that one. We all have to answer to the Ribono Shel Olam. Also, being that we’re in a foreign land, we follow its laws too, as much as Halachah permits.
ZeesKiteParticipantActually people read Mishpacha on the ban.
ZeesKiteParticipantBAD IDEA. How would I be able to start new threads. I hardly ever post here. I’m from the real quiet ones here.
ZeesKiteParticipants…..p – Likewise, I don’t either walk around looking anything like my username! (you wouldn’t want to meet me IRL, I’m just a plain, um um, forget it)
ZeesKiteParticipantS….p (I can’t get myself to write your screen name), maybe even Erev Shabbos.
ZeesKiteParticipantAvram (I think HaShem added a “h” to your name);
I just noticed your name in that Great Debate. I didn’t follow through the whole back and forth, it’s to time-consuming and mind boggling (numbing). It is not at all wrong to be respectfully passionate in an argument. It’s just that when it goes back and forth too many times (with no additionals), I call it quits.
ZeesKiteParticipantAries – I can’t believe you read (let alone take note) of my silly threads!!!
ZeesKiteParticipantClose your eyes. Imagine the heated posters in a bais medrash, arguing (to put it mildly) over some piece of gemarah…
ZeesKiteParticipantI purposefully did not want to post after aries’s post above. But seeing that others did…
December 30, 2011 4:36 am at 4:36 am in reply to: To All Insulters/Name-Callers, Myself Included #839925ZeesKiteParticipantIs that quoting a chazal or gemarah?
ZeesKiteParticipantClose your eyes. Imagine the heated posters in a bais medrash, arguing (to put it mildly) over some piece of gemarah.
ZeesKiteParticipantBetter yet.
Caught between Health and Avram in MD, BTguy etc.(or any of the other heated contestants!
ps PEACE unto you all! (please, for our sake)
ZeesKiteParticipantHey, they’re messing up my page.
December 29, 2011 7:56 pm at 7:56 pm in reply to: question that will probably be controversial #841403ZeesKiteParticipantOomis: Sorry, I just got to read your comment now. I agree fully, the fact that one does it out of necessity, for reasons you stated, makes it not “chinam”.
ZeesKiteParticipantYou Highness, Master Key, Why’d you wanna “tcheppe” someone on their way out?
ZeesKiteParticipantThis is really neat!! Wasn’t this closed? Ha!!! I just got in too!
Now you can re-close it!
ZeesKiteParticipant.. and that means?
ZeesKiteParticipantWhy the mean people? To make the nice, polite ones stand out!
ZeesKiteParticipantMaybe I am. Don’t know until you tell me what OT stands for.
ZeesKiteParticipantSeems like it got really exciting here today, without me.
ZeesKiteParticipantI think there’s a ketzos somewhere in mishnaiyos somewhere else that’s matir. The Avnei Meluyim somewhere else tends to be more stringent, but we follow the views of the ketzos, he was a later posek (could be). Also look in the sugya of “Shor Shenagach” – see:
December 27, 2011 9:12 pm at 9:12 pm in reply to: question that will probably be controversial #841366ZeesKiteParticipantOomis – the opposite; if we stand to gain then it’s not chinam. Otherwise it is.
December 27, 2011 7:08 pm at 7:08 pm in reply to: Paging Shticky Shtickerson the wagon man needs your help #900838ZeesKiteParticipant..And copying me too!
December 27, 2011 5:51 pm at 5:51 pm in reply to: question that will probably be controversial #841352ZeesKiteParticipantAgain – it’s a Shaila for Halachah responders, this should not be judged by feelings, emotions. Controversial – yes, in halacha, others (cute little me in the lead) should stay out.
Gemutlichkeit, goodwill, etiquette fly out the window in the face of halacha. Of course one must use proper judgement how to fulfill HaShem’s ratzon with the least slight to another being, but mitzvha and aveira considerations take precedence.
December 27, 2011 5:38 pm at 5:38 pm in reply to: question that will probably be controversial #841350ZeesKiteParticipantWhy not? Because there is an Issur in the Torah “Lo sechanain”. I don’t know its full implications in halachah (I’m not a halachaic technician), but it certainly is an important issue. Let any of the resident Halachaic professors respond. Or a LOR.
ZeesKiteParticipantThat’s such a long list of dos and don’ts. Then we have to make sure it’s not lashon hara, rechilus, onaas devarim, halbanas panim ect. Whew! No wonder I don’t post anything. (sensible)
ZeesKiteParticipantToo girly means he wanted only one girl, he got more.
