Its about 17 hours (Including time difference) between NYC and Israel. Meaning a 2pm flights from NYC arrives in Tel Aviv at about 6am. It takes a couple of hours to go through security and get your stuff figure around 8am

In the winter Shabbos starts around 4pm so you have about 8 hours to play with getting from airport to hotel and allowing for common flight delays (especially out of NYC where they are very common)

Everyone who flies know they are always subject to delays, Its happend to most people. Dont risk flying when a delay can make a differnce epsecially when the weather is very bad. People need to take responsibility for their actions, they can choose not to board

Its likely Florida and Georgia will go to the GOP.

The only unknown seat is Mississippi, Its requires a runoff there, but I really doubt the Democrat is going to win

Its likely to be a 2 seat gain for the GOP in the senate and a 38 seat loss in the house

It seems the dems will gain 38 seats in the house, the most they have gained in any election since 1974.

If there were no regulations on health insurance, no company would want to cover a frum family, there is a pregancy almost every year ($10-$15,000 per birth assuming no troubles, NICU can costs hundreds of thousands of dollars) and kids get sick so there are always doctors bills. Its a losing proposition

The results appear to be alot worse for the GOP than originally seemed

The Dems look to gain 35 house seats, if all hold up as it seems

And now it seems the Arizona Senate seat will flip to the Dems (The democrat is now leading) and the Florida seat is up in the air with the GOP Leading

If Florida remains as a Dem , then the GOP will only gain 1 Senate seat and if Florida flips to the GOP then the GOP only got 2 Senate seats and the next 2 elections are more favorable to the Dems

Make it more pedestrian friendly, encourage bike riding, make buses that circle the neighborhood

I dont live in Lakewood, but Ive been there enough times, the Sidewalks there are terrible!!!! Especially since people walk alot especially on Shabbos and Yom Tov, It needs to be more pedestrian friendly especially in areas where there are no street lights, I feel like I am putting my life in danger walking in those areas

When I was single, I went to someone house for shabbos. The father told his son to eat some chulent. The son refused saying he didnt want to be fleshig and the father asked again and the son refused. The father then grabbed the kid and shoved a spoonful of chulent in his mouth. I have no idea what happend to the son as I refused to go back there again. I am willing to bet shoving a spoonful of chulent in a kids mouth will not get him to like chulent or shabbos though

Publically converting here means making of video of yourself near a baptism pool and going in and having the video go viral, Not just a private conversion

Someone might have converted because they hate Yiddishkeit so much (for whatever reason) and felt publically converting (and making a video of it, so the whole world sees it ) is some sort of way to get back at people. So they might be sick too (maybe worse)

If Traversing counts, then its likely More people traverse Queens than Brooklyn.

Queens has the Long Island Expressway , The Long Island Railroad , 2 Airport and a baseball stadium.

The Belt and BQE are both in Queens and Brooklyn

Manhattans population has not grown 10 fold, I n fact its gotten smaller

It was 1.8 Million in 1900 and is now 1.6 Million.

Its Brooklyn and especially Queens that have grown since 1900

The border between Brooklyn and Queens is Artificial, In fact there are places in the Ridgewood-Bushwick area where the border crosses in the middle of the street and someone even crosses people property (There are cases where someones house is in Queens and their backyard is in Brooklyn)

Jews rarely lived in their area and rarely go through it so most dont realize this

I am probably the last person to ask on this, but I dont think its really the Melecha of Hotaza, I think the issue is if Brooklyn (and Queens) are Carmeles not Richus Harabin) I dont think you can make an eruv from Harabin , but only from a Karmales.

As far as the Kol Korea, that probably means very little to most people in Flatbush,

I could be wrong here, but I think there is also the Halacha that if a street is bigger in one area than another, Its still a problem where the street is smaller , this is the problem with Route 9 in Lakewood, further north, Route 9 is a highway , but its not as big in lakewood itself and I think there is a problem crossing route 9

Main St in The Main Part of Flushing is a very congested area, but its alot smaller in Kew Gardens Hills, but its still the same Main St.

The Van Wyck Expressway also goes through Kew gardens Hills

One can do a Mitzvah and do it in a Chilul hashem way. You can throw Pennies at a person asking for Tzdekah , Film it laughing while he picks up the pennies and post it on the internet.

You gave Tzdekah ,but its still a Chilul Hashem

It is not a universally held opinion that one should reproach people via Mitzvah Goreret Averah, You dont think Chabad houses know that people drive to the services on Yom Kippur?

Its not about Holding that its Muttar, but Chabad feels better they drive to Shul than drive to the Mall and they hope to get them to follow more

Queens has a very similar population and makeup to Brooklyn and has major streets going through it (Queens Blvd and the Long Island Expressway), yet Queens has Eruv’s that are not challenged. Its not just the KGH Eruv, there are Eruvs in a good chunk of Queens Like Forest Hills, Hillcrest , Briarwood and in fact there are Eruvs and connections from Forest Hills to the Nassau Border (About 10 Miles)

Most of the time the chickens arent given to the poor, they are thrown away. The heat and the waste from the other animals usually makes the chickens unsafe to eat.

There is a reason there are slaughterhouses, they process the meat safety and in a timely fashion so they are usuable

There is this idea that anything a little different is the road to reform. Reform started preciscly because some changed were needed and were not done.

Every doros has its challenges and today’s major challenge is “religion is optional” meaning people will choose to be secular. The choice is not Selichot with or without music, the choice for many is selichot with music or not to go at all

The reason I’m pursuing this question is that I’m wondering where we draw the line between seeing something extreme and thinking “hmm, that individual is a bit odd”, and thinking, “wow, that’s a reflection of some systematic problem in the frum community.”

To me its just a symptom of many of people trying to out frum each other, and there are many other examples, however the Sushi one is sort of Politcal free and somewhat funny, however other ones are much more sinister , Just look at the YWN news and almost every day now we see articles about kids being kicked out or not let into schools and usually the reason is just nareshkeit
