September 14, 2011 5:41 pm at 5:41 pm in reply to: Anyone Familiar With Royal Custom Sheitels? #810424YW Moderator-80Memberdo you remember this:
But he forged on with his speech anyway, unaware of the stares he was getting from across the room and the tiniest, but the most uncomfortable smile coming across her Majesty’s face.
September 14, 2011 5:28 pm at 5:28 pm in reply to: Anyone Familiar With Royal Custom Sheitels? #810421YW Moderator-80Memberso as not to disappoint all those entering here in the same boat as ayc:
The colour of Her Majesty’s clothes is never made known in advance, so don’t be tempted to telephone the Household before an event to make sure that you aren’t wearing the same colour or that your choice of outfit with clash with The Queen’s.
Morning dress for men consists of a grey or black morning coat with a grey or yellow waistcoat and striped grey trousers. A top hat should be worn, and grey or yellow gloves (matching your waistcoat of course!) should be carried. Ladies are in this case expected to wear smart day dress: a suit or dress with hat and gloves, high heels, and a handbag to complete the outfit. Lounge suits are just plain business suits and are now the form for the majority of occasions; again, smart day dress is the correct outfit for ladies. Black tie calls for dinner jackets to be worn with a smart bow tie. Ladies should wear an evening or cocktail dress (it is best not to wear black, which is really only appropriate only when the Court is in mourning). Finally, white tie involves an evening tail coat with white bow tie and waistcoat for men and long evening dresses with long gloves and best jewellery including tiaras for the ladies. Orders and decorations are worn by everyone entitled to do so, though it is important not to wear the collar of an order (these never appear after sunset).

adorable are you really a girl?

it *could be* what you say is true, but i see no indication from the ops post that this is so. to make even a *could be* terribly negative assessment of the ops behavior strikes me as the exact opposite of being dan l kaf zchus, with no reason other than your unsupported speculation.
this does not seem like you.
has anyone in your vicinity taken over your cr account?

his advice is sage and Emes.
im trying to say just accomodate them as best as you can and leave your feelings about who is right and who is wrong out of it.
im trying to say be HAPPY, forget about your concerns about them, “bite the bullet”, accomodate them and may you and they enjoy the Simcha, with Simcha.

They have a restricted diet, just like people who need low salt or are allergic to nuts or any other food.
YW Moderator-80MemberHave your daughters ready when the young man comes to the door
do you have any daughters of this age? 😉
YW Moderator-80Memberas far as i know all kitchen aid stand mixers come with a dough hook and are more than capable of kneading dough.
i have one similar to this and it works fine even for whole wheat dough, which is very difficult to knead.
this one is $189 new and the shipping is probably free
there are plenty of kitchenaids out there for way less than $500
read the reviews farther down the page
and if you are willing to get a used one you can probably go less than $100

the concept is that everything that happens anywhere is because of Am Yisroel.
this does not imply that everything is a punishment for what Am Yisroel has done, it could be a warning for them, or a preparation for future events, or a myriad of other reasons.
YW Moderator-80Memberactually not is it only permitted to mock avodah zarah, it is encouraged.
the following im not 100% certain of but i believe it is even a Mitzvah to mock avodah zarah (not to its adherents necessarily, but at least privately)
regardless of whether or not we think doing so is “nice”
YW Moderator-80Memberbut certainly if you are not comfortable with the “relationships” you observe here, and you are sensitive to this, you probably should discontinue your participation here.
YW Moderator-80Memberin addition there have been times when the moderators have stepped in to end a “relationship” here when it had gotten, in their opinion, inappropriate.
there are not usually moderators in the workplace.
YW Moderator-80Memberperhaps?
yes youre missing something.
there is a vast difference in what the two types of relationships can lead to.
among many other differences.
YW Moderator-80MemberIts the responsibility of all Klal Yisroel
YW Moderator-80Member“I am curious what was found wrong with it today as opposed to yesterday, “
different moderators
“and in general why a PORTION of a post can’t be deleted rather than the entire one. “
it can
YW Moderator-80Memberi never saw any deleted posts on the smile thread, maybe someone else deleted and then restored them, not likely but if you saw it, okay
YW Moderator-80MemberSometimes I see that the positive ones are pulled, while the negative ones are left and I’m trying to understand the ?????.
time to get your vision checked
there were no posts deleted from the smile thread
YW Moderator-80MemberIt is Yeshiva World, not Yeshivish World, and there are many people who associate themselves with a yeshiva, but not yeshivish
the defining criteria for this site are not based soley on its name
and yes your posts are always respectful and a pleasure
YW Moderator-80Memberwho is everyone arguing with.
of course people can feel embarrasment when they have foolishly invested an illusory persona in an online character. as i said there is one aspect of this that makes MPs question difficult to answer.
we pull many rude and insulting posts, every day. including your recent one bombmaniac making fun of a mother who was worried about her child.
one who demands sensitivity from others must be very careful to return it in kind.
YW Moderator-80Memberayc
thats why the question of comparison is difficult.
YW Moderator-80Member80 – Sorry but I don’t think it’s possible
okay, we’ll just throw that Halachah out the window then.
ill sent a memo to the CC Heritage Foundation to strike it from their books
YW Moderator-80Memberwhy do you ask?
to prove that there is nothing wrong with discussing goyish culture on a Yeshivish site?
YW Moderator-80Memberwell thats not an easy question at all since in at least one very real sense there is no one here actually to be embarrased.
YW Moderator-80Memberr-b yes its hard
YW Moderator-80Membershould all forms of communication be assur because someone might use them to say L’H?
the telephone?
hamodia?
all forms of writing?
should speaking be assur?
YW Moderator-80Memberstamper:
the toeles as regards the op point, which is why is it mutar for moderators to listen to l’h. you can figure out the toeles for yourself
YW Moderator-80Memberit is permitted to listen to lashon harah (though not to believe it) for a toeles.
obominators question is more difficult
YW Moderator-80Memberyes no one claims the state MADE them frei. of course they would have been just as frei without the state. this has nothing whatsoever to do with what anyone is talking about.
they would have been just as frei but they would not have been able to promote a prideful, arrogant, in Hashem’s face so to speak, dance, arrogance and disgusting pride of the wicked abominable sinners IN THE HOLY STREETS OF YERUSHALAYIM!
chas v shaolom that words like this should even be seen by Jewish eyes.
the basic makeup of the state today, not only its founding, are those jews who are ashamed of being Jewish and their response is to hate Judaism, to hate Hashem, and our Torah which he gave to us. this is what the state is, a desire to find safety from persecution and to be just like all the other nations that have no Torah. this is its founding and its present form.
YW Moderator-80Memberno one said ALL founders or participants in the state are secular.
and your analogy is riidiculous
differences of opinion about shaving with an electric razor as a mashul for eating pork, promoting abortions, and doing whatever possible to wipe out all forms of adherence to the Torah. these Jew-haters are enemies of YOUR Boreh. he does not desire achdus with them.
any religion they have allowed, any participation in the government by the religious was only becaise it is either out of their power to stop or because of political necessity or expediency.
you have shown in all your posts a profound naivete about what the state is, how it was founded, and what its desires, hopes, and wishes are for.
