I took a break from moderating earlier and went to the local grocery store. I think I saw 86 there (black trench coat, black hat, sunglasses and a moustache that kinda looked like it was glued on a bit crooked) holding several boxes of hamantaschen – but the strange part was, he was in the greeting card section…

2 days in a row: Cooked dinner and washed all the pots and utensils
(whole wheat) macaroni and (low fat chedder and muenster) cheese.
Tomorrow my chesed will be to let my wife cook dinner (and wash all the pots and cooking utensils) so that she will not feel like she isn’t appreciated 🙂

if memory serves me correctly, there is a story about the Chofetz Chaim where he was traveling and in the wagon in which he was traveling there was a horse or cattle dealer (someone can fix the details – I do not remember all the details) and this merchant spent the trip talking about his trade. when they arrived at where they were going, and the merchant found out who he was talking to, he begged forgiveness for bothering the Chofetz Chaim with the nitty gritty details about horses or cattle. the Chofetz Chaim said it was a most pleasurable trip because there was no Lashon Hara.

I gave Mrs. YW Moderator-72 the night off – I washed my own dishes tonight (does that count) – oh… and I did the rest of the dishes also, shopped and cooked 1/2 the dinner.

charlie brown, it is too late for cup 3, however, I can be over shortly for cup 4. Do you mind if I wait a little bit to do the shoveling… say… maybe July?
time for cup 2. 16 ounces of hot coffee with 2% milk and no sugar. ahhhh :o) usually, I get to it earlier, but I had to clean off the cars and shovel the driveway (maybe I should put this on the 1 chesed a day thread)

Well… I learned my lesson. Step away from the computer for 1 hour and BOOM they go announce TWO new Moderators. :o)

For those without dishwashers:
I heard that if you burn the food in the pot, the easist way to clean it is to put in the powdered dish washer soap and soak the pot for a while in hot water. I have tried this and the burnt parts come out much easier than just using regular dish soap.
please feel free to discuss whether of not a topic should stay on topic or be allowed to stray off topic however if this topic strays from the topic of allowing topics to stray or not stray then the moderators will have to decide if the stray was still in someway connected to the topic or if the stray strayed to far from topic to allow continuation of the thread

OK, here we go. when thid thread started 1 month or ten pages ago and some 375plus entries including the deleted entries it was a warm Decemeber day and charlie brown was enjoying it. today is cold does anybody enjoy the cold?

good question. as you know, we do not allow personal information to be posted. In this case, based on the some of the more “vanilla” type of self information that was provided a family insider would be able to figure it out whereas the rest of us would not.
with great trepidation I am approving this thread. Please, please, please people STAY on topic! No walnuts, no brazil nuts, no almonds, no pecans… and certainly no peanuts!
