FuturePOTUS – I think you missed my point, which was my point. Many of these threads are written in humor, sarcasm and/or facetiousness and when a poster/lurker reads it and thinks it is a serious discussion about hashkofo it gives the impression we are failing to see the forest when in fact we aren’t.

I’m really having trouble with the grammatical structure of this thread title. How can a blog be over? I mean I wish blogs were history, but can a notebook be over? Can a chair be over? Or are you asking if blogs are over-something…overrated? overused? overbelieved? It doesn’t even mean anything and somehow got 16 posts.
I’m over it.Thanks WTP, I don’t sleep well so I am often up at odd nighttime hours. I do a lot of 3 am posts, if there are any, since that is my worst sleeplessness but the rest of it varies.

I don’t have a clue what you are talking about! Do you honestly think that every post somehow relates to you or something you said? Do you have a running list of things you believe people owe you apologies for? I think it would be worthwhile to take this place a lot less seriously. Our jobs in this world are to give apologies, not collect them.

Why would someone need to add a new topic when almost everything has already been discussed?

As a macho’ah against any statements that those things are “fine” to you or anyone else.
I started off by saying that it was all my own opinion.Outside of the first line of the first paragraph, I don’t see that applying to your post. Either way, whether it is your opinion or not, it is not appropriate to leave a misleading statement such as that one without a very clear disclaimer. Matters of halacha are not subject to our opinions.

4. The main problem I have with it is that it can cause or increase machlokes, since then someone thinks you wrote something bad about them and maybe you didn’t, or maybe it wasn’t as bad as they think, or maybe it wasn’t bad at all and is being misunderstood by the moderators.
This is not a CR modding/editing problem. Someone who feels this way when posts are edited needs to find real life support.

Not sure how else it can be used or understood.People collecting welfare benefits do not do anything or contribute anything for them. If they have a low paying job, that is compensation for goods and services.

That is not true for welfare. Your requirement is to have little assets and low reported income. Your unwritten requirement is to be honest about your income.

How can a comparison be drawn between people receiving money for goods or services and people receiving 💰 without contributing goods or services? It’s not about the source of the money, it’s about what was done by the person receiving it on order to receive it, no?
Working at the welfare office 40 hours a week and getting a check from them is not equal to walking on with forms and collecting a check.
mik5 – It’s funny you say that because on that specific post I was actually contemplating whether or not to write edited (and on other posts at other times as well). I have gotten so much grief from people when the edit isn’t marked, that I was almost afraid not to, so I apologize, because I had really wanted to just leave it without.
I think it’s time to give this side topic a rest. This whole idea of not saying something that might be inappropriate but trying to give lots of hints until someone figures it out thing is not what this forum is for. This is another one of those times when you may have to accept that your view may not shtim with the whole picture and even asking for an explanation is misplaced, let alone expecting one. The posts are not deleted in support of your point, but rather to prevent incorrect assumptions from being passed on. I’ve tried to leave it alone, hoping it would go away on it’s own, but since it won’t I am asking you both to move on.
