Well it definitely wasn’t me then (not the source seeking type). So while I feel better about not being the source (no pun intended), my apology still stands.
2scents, I don’t know if that was me or not, and if it was me, I guess I would have already explained the rationale (though I have no memory of it). Looking back at the post, however, I’m confused why you should have any questions. The topic was fine, but most of the post listed assumptions and specualtions as facts. There was no real way to edit it without re-writing it.
Either way, if it was me, I’m sorry it made you feel that way.

Those are very serious comments to make about someone if they did not really say those things. Baruch Hashem you did not mention his name because that would have been terrible motzei shem ra. I am not clear on the other things you listed but I think it would be best if we stop bringing up things that were or were not said by this rabbi.

You yourself said that your Rabbi tells people they don’t have to be shomer negia. Now you changed it to say that it is the people doing it on their own. You have to be more careful how you present things. If your rabbi really did give permission for that, and you said he did, then it is NOT motzei shem ra to speak against him because he is an apikorus.

Happygirl, hashtags are not “you”, and it is certainly not setting a trend. Hashtags are a pointless social media schtick that seem to have permeated other areas of life.
I was at a workshop and the instructor asked us to come up with a hashtag phrase to describe how we felt about a new project we were learning! (Someone had to explain to me what that meant)

Because all lives matter was an answer to black lives matter. The claim is black lives, in contrast to all lives. In that case, saying lives matter doesn’t contradict black lives matter. But hashtags, and all-hashtags are both the same things.

She stated she was starting work this morning. Based on that, and the tone of her posts only minutes before, I had no reason to think it was anything else. Once others showed concern, I wanted the to have a chance to see all was well.
