They haven’t.
Thousands can never get real serious jobs due to their inability to spell etc.
I have a 35 year old chasidish friend, who just checked himself into night classes to learn how to READ ENGLISH.
And here is another issue. Not only do they not know how to read English, they no longer know how to read Yiddish.
So no, they are not surviving at all. they are failing miserably (in my humble opinion).

No reason whatsoever not to have a dog.
There is a reason why there are very clear halachos of how to take care of a dog on Shabbos (walking it etc). If it was osur to have a dog, it would very clearly say that.

Actually, your dead wrong (over and over).
Again, Chacham Ovadia Yosef along with all Sefardim wear REGULAR black hats that are worn by all Yeshiva bochrim and avrechim in Eretz Yisroel.
He wears the clothing that the Sephardic “Rishon Letzion” wear only by his drashos, simchas, and when he appears in public. When he davens he wears a regular black hat like any other Rosh Yeshiva. His children wear the same hat as he does.

The biggest honor by the Sefardim is to name a baby after a living grandparent. Most Sefardi grandparents have grandchildren named after them – during their lifetime.

Wow, Mod 42, I was reading that 00:07:25 as 7:25am instead of 12:25am. You are correct, none of the posts I thought might be on Shabbos were. I apologize to Half. Please be mochel me for suspecting you of chillul Shabbos. Nechoma, obviously we can’t be sure based on the IP. But like I said s/he was posting at the same time on Fridaay and Saturday (9am). There is nowhere in the world where it is muttar to post at both of those times the same week.
As far as I know there is nothing halachikly wrong with someone in Israel posting while it is still Shabbos in NY. The mods won’t approve it until after Shabbos wherever they are though.
Australia is about 15 hours ahead of NY so it makes sense that someone with an Australian IP is posting around 9am Saturday NY time since Shabbos is over by then. But it seems to me that this same prolific poster of many screen names is also posting at the same time on Friday morning when it should be past Shkia in Melbourne.
