gumball, i am with you on that personal shopper idea! that is something i would also be interested in going into. first of all, i love shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i figure, why not make money doing what i do best 🙂 ? and that is also a form of design, you know, deciding the right looks and colors… for diff people. sounds like fun! i doubt that’s what i’m gonna end up doing with my life, and anyway, i dunno how many ppl out there really hire personal shoppers (they don’t where i come from), but if that is an option for you, go for it! you can practice on me!

hey sea shells, first of all, it’s between rosh hashana and yom kippur, so just watch what you say. second of all, maybe just don’t come on here as much. i only come on at night cuz i work during the day, but if u only come for limited amount of time, that makes it easier. less “boring”

as a born and bred new yorker, i always thought of other places as oot and of course “how could there be frum communities elsewhere?” when i got engaged and told my boss that i would probably be moving to chicago, she said “what?! you’re gonna live in a hick town like that?” little did she know!
btw – there are so many new yorkers who now live here, it’s almost a second new york. anyway, i’m still a new yorker at heart – you know the saying “you can take the girl out of ny but you can’t take ny out of the girl”

popa, the other songs that they sing at weddings are about the wedding itself. you know, binyan adei ad. sameach tisamach… the ones that you mentioned, i agree with am yisrael chai. we are singing that just as happy as we are now, that is how happy we will be by the geula, when Hashem is the chosson and we are the kallah. how about ashreinu sheyesh lanu chosson kazeh? that’s a song about the wedding

um, isn’t she also allowed to sing in front of her brothers and her husband too? why after her whole life of singing at home, and probably sometimes in front of her immediate family would she not be able to sing in front of them?

i recently did them myself for a friends wedding, and they were a sparkly light pink. they actually didn’t come out as pink as i imagined, but it was ok in the end.

hey just a few days ago i saw a gorgeous tie- it was black and it had these dark blue and light blue (alternating) diagonal stripes and on both edges of every stripe was a little silver stripe- it was so gorgeous and classy looking. and i’m a girl, you should all know that by now 🙂
