yossi z.Member
To clarify my first statement the people I am doing kiruv with are only accessible to me online
yossi z.MemberI do kiruv online and have to stay in contact with quite a few people. I use the bb instead of a computer (not that I would have minded having a normal phone and a computer separate but the bb is what came with the contract and it works)
yossi z.MemberI am not sure about exotic vacations but one has to create a balance between putting his entire focus on wanting moshiach and making hishtadlus to run a material physical life
yossi z.MemberThank you aries (again).
WIY: I wasn’t exactly looking for advice rather than opinions but you are correct and thank you for pointing that out (and I should have thought of going to the bookstore)
yossi z.MemberI am sorry but I just thought of a clearer way of asking what I want. How does/would a person know they are ready for marriage? (And it isn’t just a fantasy?)
yossi z.MemberAnother question. How does the whole process even start?
yossi z.MemberOkay what constitutes maturity? (This whole thing of when is a person ready for marriage, is a point of contention so I am trying to see what “outsiders” have to say)
yossi z.MemberMyfriend try telling that to any parent (forget mine)
yossi z.MemberA person can be “of age” and totally not be ready for marriage (like some of my friends)
yossi z.MemberYes but what is necessary for a person to be suitable for marriage?
yossi z.MemberAnd if it was just age then I would be married already
yossi z.MemberIt is not just age that is a “requirement” for marriage there are other factors. What constitutes maturity? And what else is necessary?
yossi z.MemberWhat is required of a person before he/she would be considered ready to be in shidduchim?
yossi z.MemberThanx aries (you sound like you are either a shadchan/is or a person with knowledge/experience or both)
yossi z.MemberOne question though, how do I open such a discussion?
yossi z.MemberThanx
yossi z.MemberIt is not exactly shidduchim I am worried about it is the other factors which affect it
yossi z.MemberNo it just scares me such situations exist (I know I have read the thread and articles on related topic(s) but still…) And I am not batuach that my parents and I do see eye to eye
yossi z.MemberKasha thanx but you aren’t helping the matter 😛
I am going to risk the mods for this one but on a totally unrelated topic did the 3rd general lose his job too?
yossi z.MemberI was hoping to come back to the cr for some respite but not only do I find out that 1) mazal tov my brother got engaged so now I am next and 2) I have to bump into this thread which makes me dread even more going/being in shidduchim…. (By the way are all the moderators still here or were there switches while I was gone?)

yossi z.Memberno. i am just happy that my 2 year wait is over (you see if i am 1_ than i don’t have to be under my parents thereby making it that i wouldn’t be a driver on their car thereby not pushing their insurance up)
yossi z.Memberyay! i am feeling better! and i am legally 1_ so i can get my EMT and drivers license!!!!
yossi z.Membernaw (possible strep (yet another story) i was supposed to go in yesterday but the receptionist gave me a hard time so i had to go straight to the doctor (who davens by the yeshiva) which pushed off my appointment to this morning (the day of the chasuna)
yossi z.Memberyeah i am still here today (thursday) i can’t do much being that the good dr. told me not to go to my chavrusa’s wedding (long story)
