I seem to be running dry

The reason I know not why

    So help me out

    Give a shout

    And have the limericks fly

    Am I just tired?

    Perhaps maybe wired?

    Or distracted

    No not plastered

    Definitely, no sire

When the page is about to switch

    How do you know which

    Post it will be

    For I’d like to see

    At the top my limerich

Smartcookie: but the limerick/riddle/brain teaser type threads have to be joint. Besides of course they are repeating, they have been so buried people forgot they existed so everything is started anew instead of being continued

Have you ever eaten a tuber?

My, my they are quite super

    To end the game

    I’ll say my last name

    To everyone it’s zuber

    I woulda said it sooner

Yet I was told by courier

    There was a game

    Not so lame

    Now it’s become a boomer

    The game is called limericking

And no it is not sickening

    So I will play

    Maybe all day

    Unless I get a licking

    Now that we’re being specific

    If from across the pacific

    I don’t know her

    Then all I’ll show her

    Is how I’m genterific

    All that I will do

Is nod my head to you

    But if on the street

    You did greet

I’ll say how do you do

Now should I go post this in the limerick thread? 😀

I know they aren’t the same thing I was just saying that they were situations which even a first responder can’t take care of (I was one for two summers in the catskills)

Well let’s see … How much can a FR do for bad trauma (ax to the foot/leg, concussion via axe handle/back of the blade, swimming accidents, trips and falls off of bikes onto rocky ground then/and down rocky hills) or how about med assessment cases (though I did do escorts (on foot) for kids who needed to take their meds, I couldn’t be assigned to the kids who due to it being late (they “forgot” to take their meds for too long) had to have the meds brought to them or needed to be transported to a hospital. Here is a common one in the mountains, animal bites or poisoning, … Is this enough? (and yes all of these happened). Oh did I mention this was in a boy scout camp (where these things for some reason seem prone to happening)

    Correct your lim so blue

    ?

    How ’bout something like this

It just took a few word flips

    If I may

    Please display

    My love of limericks

Right now I am in a bad mood

The hats were just so rude

Can we differentiate between curly hair and hair with curls? Because I like hair with curls (or waves, etc) but when I hear curly hair I get this image of not so long, curly hair sticking out in all directions (this is hereditary in my family but once the hair grows longer it hangs down quite nicely-boy you should have seen me before my upsherin!)

The things I kept seeing were more than just CPR/first aid/first responder level. Working on an ambulance unless maybe volunteer would not have worked out (besides the pay issue) so instead I decided to be a non-affiliated unit (though I would still like to work on an ambulance nonetheless)

Oops that is a bit embarrassing. I would like to replace that last one with:

    Daas yochid I must inquire

Do you think I did not retire?

    I slept all day

    And did not play

And now I am quite wired

    The chasuna was quite nice

    Thankfully there was no ice

    Though cars got stuck

    Also a truck

But the bus not for a trice

    I drank nothing with caffeine

From that I think I’m weaned

    Most of the time

    (I will not whine)

    Too distracted even to read

I know I went one over

But please be a good “chover”

    I couldn’t find

    A better rhyme

To bring my point right over

What do you mean all EMTs are unlicensed?

I took the course to have the knowledge and so when I go to help someone I am not stam a yukkle but rather a certified professional (it doesn’t pay well enough to provide a parnassah though I am quite tempted to join hatzolah once I am allowed to (after shanah rishonah)

I didn’t get certified not due to personal choice rather due to circumstance. I would like to get certified at some point

I would write a book like that ‘cept my literary skills aren’t THAT good. Another thing is, that once those types of books became the norm, to write something outside the mold would be very hard to sell. Even once it does sell, one would still have to keep a balance because we don’t want it to go the other way either. Then again you did ask who has the courage to break the mold, implying that you do know what the difficulties are. Why don’t we just go to college (or take a writer’s/correspondence course so we wouldn’t have to actually go to college), learn to write properly/wonderfully and write a book ourselves (or two if we each do one)

Kid: work in medicine, work with hands (making/fixing things)

Present: spend time learning, work with hands (carpentry/handyman)

Right now I am an unlicensed EMT (I passed the course but never got certified in time so I have to re-take the course at some point), work for a handyman, and am working on getting an apprenticeship by a carpenter (oh and I am also in yeshivah for first and second seder)

Agreed (and I am a guy and would do it myself) one just sees certain things in society which offend and really aren’t nice (can’t you tell I was raised with an “out-of-town” attitude? Actually I wasn’t, I was raised in a family which emphasizes certain good middos and in a community which emphasizes others)
