Happiest: try real timing your post to see if it has actually been thirty seconds. A computer doesn’t constantly update so if it overtimes (no more editing allowed by poster) it may still say thirty seconds. Hope this helps

My mother has no problem “dressing up” for purim (then again she doesn’t leave the house that way)

(One year she bought a silver wig and braided it into two ponytails, wore some sort of nutty (tye dye or puffy paint or something) t-shirt, and had some kinda red schlappa (floppy hat) on top of the wig)

Boston does rely on filtering the water systems primarily due to the constant building and construction going on (whether new or improvements) but they filter the main water sources not the private houses (in other words they filter the water before it gets into the piping system)

Why? You are afraid other people will know you? And then what? (I posted my name because I don’t feel any issue with people finding out who I am since I have a policy of if you don’t like my opinion, deal with it. I am not forcing anyone to accept my opinion this is what I think for myself)

And gimme a break you could have easily figured me out even without posting my name (we discussed this, remember) 😀

I think new2thescene and eclipse are married (yay! Another Dr. Pepper type of thing)

I also have trouble getting up (and I am sure if I had a wife she wouldn’t like it either) but I am grumpy on myself when I don’t make it on time to the minyan which would allow me to make it to yeshivah on time (and that is two in one)

You are asking for help falling asleep … In the coffee room? Oh wait then again this thread IS under decaf …

In all seriousness, (who me?) Are you physically active during the day? (Walking, jogging, sports, etc) because if you tire yourself out even a little bit, the way the body works is if it has even a small amount of energy to fill back up it is easier to fall asleep because the body is tired (now why am I up? That is a good question)

Thank you. I found it very edifiying (well now that it is after the joseph escapade this entire thread’s outlook now changes) but it still doesn’t answer anything.

There are (at least) two questions remaining

    1) Are copepods everywhere (I didn’t open the links (yet) as I am not on a computer and it would be too complicated to do so)

    2) If they are then why is only new york water filtered and not other places

I happened to have been informed that nassau/suffolk county and far rockaway do not have bugs and therefore do not need filtering. Presuming from this I would say, being that we don’t have conclusive proof as to whether boston has bugs or not we should be able to safely assume that they don’t being there aren’t any filters in use (though the main water sources are filtered before they are sent out but that isn’t due to bugs-let’s not go there it is quite nauseating)

Onegoal: did you ever explain you signature? (I don’t remember in which thread I asked)

To really make your name, what I found worked the best is, find those threads you enjoy the most and feel you could contribute to. Post in them for a Bit. Once you feel good and settled into the CR (or even just comfortable), if you want to spread out to other threads so you can get known by other posters than do so. I personally don’t see a reason to just stam spread out (I spread out because I have a wide range of interests)

Oh, yeah I did. How late can I call you? (I lost your number and then got it again from your sister) by the way the only thing you mentioned where YOU were was the mesivta and across the street from someone (at least that is all that was clear until you sat and explained everything). I do have this deja vu feeling that we had this discussion when I was in providence (and first joined here-you have been here longer than I have-at least from what I can tell from the dinosaur thread which was dug up) and I am surprised you didn’t figure me out yourself earlier (before I said my last name)

Aack! The dinosaurs are back!!! 😀 ahh great to have this thread back, good times. (Now if only we can get whichever Dr. Pepper it was talking to me back here I can finish the conversation)

A lot has changed. The threads, the posters, me, the site, etc …

What do I plan for the fifth anniversary of this place? Five chocolate chip cookies of course (or should I have five chocolate cakes, have a party and share them with the rest of the CR?)

This is a bit backwards (as in I am happy it DIDN’T work out) but here is the story:

Being that I never had a shidduch suggested before nor did I have any sort of talk, when the first shidduch came up things were being done all wrong (I was getting personally involved and didn’t tell everyone that I was supposed to). After a bit (couple of weeks) I had a feeling something wasn’t right and I spoke it over with someone and boy was I in for a shock! Once I was explained to how things were supposed to be done I called the shadchan very nervously (she is a close friend of my family and she was suggesting her cousin so I didn’t want any hard feelings going down) to see where/if things had advanced to see how complicated it would be to have at least a pause if not a full stop put to everything so I could restart the proper way. Turns out the girl was busy anyway so no hard feelings and I get to start again this time properly.
