צריך אדם להתרחק מהנשים מאד מאד
A person must stay very far from women.
JosephParticipantIs it an sin to sit next to a woman?
It is a sin to even enjoy looking at a woman’s pinky finger.
October 29, 2019 11:25 pm at 11:25 pm in reply to: Can EY rely on U.S. committments of support if there was an Arab attack? #1795651JosephParticipantThe State of Israel not only doesn’t include all of Eretz Yisroel, of course, as parts of Eretz Yisroel is in Lebanon, Jordan, Syria and Egypt, but the State of Israel also includes part of chutz la’aretz, for example Eilat.
What this all amounts to is that the State of Israel, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Lebanese Republic all have the same status and category. All three have some parts of Eretz Yisroel and all three have some parts of chutz la’aretz.
People can live in Eretz Yisroel in Lebanon or Jordan and other people can live in chutz la’aretz in the State of Israel.
JosephParticipantKY, my response was a rhetorical reply to CTR’s assumption that those first having hachana prior to davening require dan lekaf zechus for starting to daven later as a result of the hachana.
JosephParticipantEli: Kissing a small child also shows love for him. Can you do that in shul?
JosephParticipant“Let us try to dan lekaf zechus and say that those who daven at a late hour are busy with hachana for two hours.”
Should we also try to dan lekaf zechus and say that those who daven at an early hour didn’t skip hachana ?
JosephParticipantAvi: There are different shittos as to when the correct zman is.
JosephParticipantAvi: Your zman or my zman?
JosephParticipantSounds like there much be some traffic law requiring not to use your bright inappropriately.
JosephParticipantGH: Shtika K’hodaah? 😉
JosephParticipantGadolH: Had you posted on YWN/CR a decade ago as “sammygol”?
JosephParticipantBenK: What kinds of videos are you referring to?
I thought this service was for business purposes only.
JosephParticipantAvi, I’ll be bringing my phone to you when you have a chance.
JosephParticipantBeautiful story, Doctor Pepper.
Great point, Reb Eliezer.
JosephParticipantWhy would anyone be bittul zman reading fiction?

Were you so worried when Bill Clinton violated Serbia’s sovereignty when he sent troops into Serbia’s Kosovo? That action by Clinton paved the way for Putin to do the same thing in the Crimea.
President Trump, may the RBS”O protect him, grant him health and long life and reign in power for many years as President, has been the Jews best friend in the Oval Office since George Washington.

October 18, 2019 8:03 am at 8:03 am in reply to: Can EY rely on U.S. committments of support if there was an Arab attack? #1793478JosephParticipantThe President did a beautiful job on Syria where he got America out of the country (not that I necessarily agree it was a good idea to get the U.S. out, but that is what Mr. Trump promised the voters before the election and has now delivered what he was elected to do) AND he got a ceasefire between the Turks and their Kurdish enemies.
Bravo and job well done.
JosephParticipantJoseph- I’m just recalling the good old CR days, I think we used to fight alot back then(:
Hey, I’m more than happy to bring back the good ‘ole days. Say over a nice juicy shtickel of apikorsus and I’ll be down your back in a jiffy. 😂
JosephParticipantThis site has gotten very buggy over the last half a year or so.

October 17, 2019 2:34 am at 2:34 am in reply to: Investigate Congressmen and Bidens with FBI & Special Counsel #1793295JosephParticipantReb Dorah: Case law is relevant for determining the correct answer to a judicial question; my scenario is purely an executive scenario, not judicial. The courts don’t mesh into FBI and prosecutorial investigations and/or indictments prior to the prosecutors presenting the case to the court.
October 16, 2019 12:49 pm at 12:49 pm in reply to: Investigate Congressmen and Bidens with FBI & Special Counsel #1793153JosephParticipantNo one has offered any rational or legal explanation demonstrating how the President and Attorney General could be prevented from carrying out what I described.
Effectively everyone’s acknowledged, despite the denials of some, that if the POTUS and AG were determined to carry out the above plan that all the posturing and hand-wringing couldn’t stop them or get in their determined way.
JosephParticipantWB Hashem Is Everywhere! It’s been a long time since you’ve last commented.
October 16, 2019 12:08 am at 12:08 am in reply to: Investigate Congressmen and Bidens with FBI & Special Counsel #1792959JosephParticipantThe scenario I described is eminently doable and fully in the control of the President of the United States. As such, his political opponents could not stop him from enacting the above described actions.
October 15, 2019 9:42 pm at 9:42 pm in reply to: Investigate Congressmen and Bidens with FBI & Special Counsel #1792904JosephParticipantI should add that the Special Counsel (Chris Christie?) should weigh charges of high treason and the attempted overthrow of the United States government (coup de’tat) via abuse of official powers (i.e. using impeachment for purely political gain without any legitimate basis). As well as ferret out, investigate and prosecute any players in the civil service left over from the Obama Administration that have colluded with the previous administration following the 2016 election to undermine the incoming government. The latter part of the investigation may ensnare former officials of the Obama Administration.
JosephParticipantNow that Google knows about it (this very thread on the YWN CR has now been indexed by Google), it is clear this place existed.
JosephParticipantDr. P: Has Congress moved April Fool’s to October?
(For the uninitiated: It wasn’t Dr. P’s story [which was wonderful] but rather his mere presence here.)
JosephParticipantIf Google doesn’t know about it, it never existed.

October 10, 2019 4:26 pm at 4:26 pm in reply to: Black suits for brothers of chasson and kallah? #1792250JosephParticipantWhy on earth would the chosson or kallah give a hoot what color suits their brothers are wearing (assuming they are Shabbosdik)?!

We can only rely on HKB”H. We cannot rely on the Israelis, the Israeli government, the Israeli army or anyone else.
We need to daven to the RBS”O.

October 8, 2019 9:49 am at 9:49 am in reply to: Can EY rely on U.S. committments of support if there was an Arab attack? #1791954JosephParticipantDo not confuse Eretz Yisroel with the Zionist State of Israel.
Eretz Yisroel does not need any goy country. OTOH, the State of Israel is a vassal state of the United States and couldn’t survive without it.
JosephParticipantTriangle K is on Hebrew National.
October 6, 2019 8:24 pm at 8:24 pm in reply to: Don’t harm a fellow Yid selling on Amazon, even if it helps you sell more. #1791573JosephParticipantIs a Yid even allowed to sell treif food if he doesn’t know that the customer isn’t Jewish? He’s likely feeding treif to Yidden.
JosephParticipantYou need to frame it in terms of “protecting women” from harassment. Thereby by identifying the gender of nearby seatholders you “allow women to choose to sit next to a woman to avoid the risk of harassment”.
Framing it as such can get it implemented whereas framing it as to help protect morality will get it shot down by the leftists and anti-religious.
JosephParticipantDY: Can you cite any bona fide halachic basis that mesira can be engaged in this case?
October 4, 2019 2:11 pm at 2:11 pm in reply to: Why doesn’t the coffee room accurately reflect last update #1791258JosephParticipantSyag, I’m suggesting why you may be seeing a different behavior between Chrome and Firefox. One may be logged in and the other not. This is a new bug in the CR that developed in the last couple weeks.
October 4, 2019 9:19 am at 9:19 am in reply to: Why doesn’t the coffee room accurately reflect last update #1791228JosephParticipantSyag: It makes a difference whether you’re logged into the CR or not in how it displays incorrectly.
October 4, 2019 8:39 am at 8:39 am in reply to: Why doesn’t the coffee room accurately reflect last update #1791215JosephParticipantFor the past week or two the main page of the CR has broken and been displaying incorrectly.
JosephParticipantAbba: No tow truck will tow a car blocking a driveway unless it was first ticketed. And reporting it to the government to issue it a ticket cannot be done due to mesira.
JosephParticipantThere Ribono Shel Olam should give United States President Donald John Trump the strength, stamina, health, wisdom and blessings to remain in the Oval Office until the secular year 2025; including winning an overwhelming victory in 2020.
JosephParticipantCTL, I’ll say again — as long as the man’s breathing, even if on a ventilator, Comrade Bernie will be in the race until the Democrat convention.

October 3, 2019 4:12 pm at 4:12 pm in reply to: Why doesn’t the coffee room accurately reflect last update #1791011JosephParticipantCA, I must commend you for your improvement. You responded this time within 24 hours of being addressed. Let’s try to up the ante to bring your response time to within 12 hours in the future. Even with that goal your standard is still lower than that what you expect from the mods.
JosephParticipantDina D’malchusa applies regarding laws affecting the relationship between a Yid and the government; it explicitly does not govern the relationship between two Yidden. The latter is exclusively governed by Choshen Mishpat.
October 1, 2019 10:45 pm at 10:45 pm in reply to: Why doesn’t the coffee room accurately reflect last update #1790436JosephParticipantCA, your obligation to respond in a timely manner to posts addressed to you is no less than the mods obligations to approve posts in a timely manner.
JosephParticipantyytz: In Yerushalayim by the Beis Hamikdash thousands of Yidden shared the mikva at the same time. Are you accusing Chazal of permitting a lack of tznius?
JosephParticipantflatbisher: are you referring to Rabbi Beck’s shul?
September 27, 2019 6:26 pm at 6:26 pm in reply to: Your 21 year old son may be ready for marriage #1790223JosephParticipantflatbusher: the frum world is the real world. The rest of the world is crazy. In Europe we got married in our early teens. Even in America most states have minimum marriage ages of between 14 and 16. Even New York’s minimum age for marriage was 14 until less than 2 years ago. Massachusetts’ minimum is 12 for girls and 14 for boys. California has no minimum age.
